North Durras Beach Cottage

Private, secluded cottage in beautiful North Durras. Located within gorgeous Murramarang National Park with walking trails starting just outside the front door. North Durras Beach and Durras Lake just down the road. Perfect if you want to be active and get out and about or just take it easy and relax in peace and quiet. COVID-19: Note that we follow all state/federal guidelines regarding COVID-19. At the moment this requires check in using the QR code. The cottage consists of a spacious, light-filled studio/bedroom with attached en-suite. A small deck out the front looking onto the garden contains an outdoor table and chairs and BBQ for guest use. The space is perfect for a couple or someone travelling alone. Also happy to accept parent(s) with single child/infant/baby, or single parent with older child. Feel free to use the garden area - although you may need to share with the local population of Grey Kangaroos. A semi-outdoor shower is also available under the main house for rinsing off after trips to the beach if required. Or just use the garden hose! Kayaks are available for use on the lake for a small fee. Laundry also available - again for a small fee. As a dual occupancy property I, or my partner Dee, will often be around and available to help with any queries. However, both properties are quite private with separate access so we will not be intruding on your peace and quiet. From the perspective of COVID-19 this means that it is relatively easy to adhere to the currently advised social distancing guidelines. Also note that additional cleaning of all surfaces in the Guest Cottage with hospital grade disinfectant is being done after each guest departure to minimise any risk of cross contamination. We have a friendly 11-yr old dog - Sasha. We try to ensure that she doesn't bother guests but it is possible she may visit to get some extra pats. If this is an issue at all please let us know and we'll make doubly sure that she keeps away. The beach is 2-3 minutes' walk down the road as is access to Durras Lake. Depot Beach is just a few minutes' drive or 15-20 minutes' walk away with Pebbly Beach a little further. Walking trails into Murramarang National Park abound with several options starting just outside the front door. More trails can be found at nearby Depot Beach and Pebbly Beach including trails to Durras Mountain or all the way to Pretty Beach. The tracks in the National Park between North Durras and Kioloa are great for Mountain Biking so bring your bikes along :-) The cottage does not contain a fully equipped kitchen although a fridge, microwave, kettle and toaster are provided inside and a BBQ out on the verandah. Facilities for washing dishes are also provided although larger quantities can be done in the laundry nearby if needed where there is more room. A small store/cafe is located just across the road in one of the local Caravan Parks which has basic supplies - but is closed outside main holiday periods. This means that, aside from a couple of service stations on the Princes Highway, the nearest place for supplies, meals etc is Batemans Bay - approximately 20 minutes' drive away.
