South Bank living for 1
A great modern apartment centrally located a 10 minute walk from the South Bank and Tate Modern, and 15 minute walk to foodie heaven Borough Market, with great transport links and access to a roof terrace with amazing views over the City of London! I am Nicole. This is my home, I live here full-time and rent it out when I am on holiday. I have lived here for 9 years and it is a lovely space. The apartment is on the 3rd floor of a modern building and has all mod-cons, and also a balcony, plus access to a roof terrace that has incredible views over the City of London! COVID-19 details: I currently leave two days in between bookings so the apartment can be cleaned properly between guests. You can see from my reviews that my place is spotless, and I take the cleaning very seriously. I provide my guests with hand sanitiser, masks and the usual toiletries, and as the kitchen and bathroom are shared with me, I make sure to wipe down surfaces after use. You will also be given your own cutlery/crockery to use for your stay. You are staying in the lounge with sofabed and balcony, and I do not enter this while I have guests. I am also fully vaccinated (including booster shot). I hope this puts your mind at rest with regards to safety during your stay. You will have exclusive access to the lounge with sofabed (120 cm wide, so really only suitable for 1 person, or 2 small people) and balcony, and share the kitchen and bathroom with me. There is also a roof terrace on the 6th floor. When I am on holiday I am also happy to rent out the entire apartment. In this case it would be suitable for 2-3 people. Please see my other listing for more details. I like to get to know my guests and will welcome you with a drink of your choice. Everyone is different, so if you prefer your privacy this is of course fine, but I am also happy to sit and chat! I work locally, so if I am not in it is very easy to get hold of me if you have questions. In addition I will leave a detailed welcome pack with information about the flat and fun things to do in London and the local area. You are welcome to read my books, listen to my CDs and watch my DVDs, and make use of my Netflix account. The neighbourhood is truly amazing, you will be a 10 minute walk from the South Bank where the Royal Festival Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall, Hayward Gallery, National Theatre, Globe Theatre, London Eye, Tate Modern, BFI, IMAX etc are located. If you walk a further 10 minutes over Waterloo Bridge you are in Covent Garden, if you walk 10 minutes in the other direction over Westminster Bridge you are by The Houses of Parliament and Big Ben. If you walk 15 minutes in yet another direction you are at Borough Market, which is an amazing food and drink market that is paradise for foodies and is over 1000 (yes, 1000!) years old. It is also next to London Bridge and near the Shard if you want to check out the view. If you're into clubbing Ministry of Sound is a 5 minute walk away. It is a very busy area, but the street the apartment is in is very quiet so you get the best of both worlds! I recommend walking as you're really close to everything and there is so much to look at (or there is a Santander Bike Hire stand just outside the apartment building if you want to move around a bit faster), but transport links are excellent. Waterloo Station is a 7 minute walk away. Waterloo East/Southwark Station a 5 minute walk, London Bridge a 15 minute walk and Elephant and Castle a 10 minute walk. There are also a large number of bus routes that stop nearby. There is no parking available. Note that private residences in the UK rarely have air conditioning, so my apartment doesn't have it either. However during the hot days in the summer I will provide you with a fan.
