Close to beach, charming cottage in rural village

Situated in the heart of a beautiful Devon village Sea-Renity offers guests a rural escape, perfect for those wanting a relaxing countryside getaway. Having recently undergone a tasteful renovation, the cottage has a balance of modern comforts with character features, providing a homely and relaxing stay. Located in an area of outstanding natural beauty with many beautiful beaches close by, the cottage is excellent for those who love the outdoors and wish to explore this wonderful area. As you step into this charming country cottage, you will be greeted with a cosy lounge - a space for you to sit back and relax among modern, comfortable furnishings. The cottage has been renovated to a very high standard and maintains lots of original character. The lounge features a comfortable sofa, flat screen TV and wifi. The cottage sleeps up to four guests. Upstairs, the master bedroom has a king size bed, whilst the second bedroom sleeps two, in two single beds. Also upstairs is a family bathroom with a w/c, sink, bath and separate walk-in shower. The fully equipped, fitted kitchen has a fridge freezer, microwave, toaster, kettle and coffee making facilities as well as dining space. There is a small utility area with a washing machine. Outside is a pretty garden with a patio, lawn area, and plenty of Al fresco dining space. A storage shed for those wishing to bring bikes, surfboards etc and a covered BBQ area. Please note - there is no BBQ provided, but guests are welcome to purchase and use their own disposable BBQ. There is a fitted stair gate at the bottom of the stairs. We welcome one well behaved dog (up to medium size) at an additional cost of £20. There is a fitted stairgate to ensure that dogs do not go upstairs. Parking is free and spaces are within the village hall carpark, which is just a few doors along from the cottage and is a very short, flat walk. We live locally and are available and contactable by phone, should you need any assistance during your stay. There is a key box, so check in / out is contactless and in line with Covid regulations. Sea-Renity is situated in the beautiful rural village of Down Thomas. The village itself has a lovely, relaxed feel and is close to many local beaches. Take a picturesque walk or a short car journey to Bovisand Beach (less than 1 mile), Heybrook Bay (less than 1 mile) or Wembury Beach (less than 2 miles.) Each has their own beach cafe for refreshments. Within walking distance are three local pubs, one of which (The Mussel) is just a stones throw from the cottage, serves delicious food, and is dog friendly. There is a village shop just a few hundred yards from the cottage, selling all of your basics and essentials. For those who enjoy walking, the South West Coast Path is on your doorstep - offering miles of stunning scenery for you to explore. Being close to the sea, the cottage is a perfect base for those who love water sports. For those who requiring access to the city, Plymouth is just a short drive away (approx 15 minutes by car.) The property is mid-terrace so please be respectful of our neighbours. We do not allow parties or loud music for this reason. There is a bus stop within the village, local taxi services also operate in the area. If you enjoy walking, the South West Coast path is just a short distance from the cottage with miles upon miles of routes and breathtaking scenery to explore. The Tamar Bridge is approximately a 20 minute drive away for those wishing to explore Cornwall. Or, take the Mount Batten Ferry (approx. 2.5miles away) across to the Barbican and enjoy Plymouth and all that this vibrant city has to offer.
