“The Hayloft" is our recently renovated studio apartment here at "Woodpeckers", attached to our family home, but completely separate with its own private entrance, kitchen and bathroom. Located at the end of a long private drive with private off-street parking and next to woodland, the only noise you're likely to hear is the birds in the morning. Please note the listing is for 3 people but we only accept bookings for 2 adults maximum plus 1 or 2 young children. Immaculately renovated space, with a fully fitted kitchen with hobs, oven and microwave. Newly fitted bathroom with shower, toilet and sink. Gas central heating and electrics are both independent from the main house supply. There is a king-sized bed with memory foam mattress and a double sofa bed, which means that is it possible to sleep up to 4 people. However, please contact us in advance to check the space will be sufficient for your needs. 2 adults and 1 (potentially 2) small children works fine. We also have a full size travel cot for use. We don’t take bookings for more than 2 adults, sorry it’s just a bit too snug! There is wifi available plus direct CAT6 ethernet plug in point with Mac, USB and USB-C connections present for those needing to work with higher a speed connection. There’s a Samsung full HD TV with 200+ channels along with iPlayer, Netflix, etc installed for use with guests’ own accounts or an HDMI cable (supplied) allowing laptops (and tablets, etc with your own adapters) to be connected. In addition, and separate from the TV, there’s a DAB radio. Full and exclusive access to the entire space. We are on hand to help, or are happy to leave you in peace for the entire stay. We can offer recommendations for the local area. There is a key box and private entrance so you can be totally self-sufficient on arrival and departure if you wish. The Hayloft backs onto ‘Nowhere Wood’ - 4 acres of beautiful woodland - and extends into the full 14 acres of Trendlewood Community Park. There are walks and runs from the front door through the woodland and further afield across open countryside. There are walking trails to Tyntesfield National Trust estate and local mountain biking trails are only a short ride from the house. Coates House is our favourite day-time coffee shop and lunch stop, a super friendly independent local cafe, only a 10 minute walk. Our local family-friendly pub, The Old Farmhouse, is also only a 5-10 minute stroll through the woods and they serve food every day. We are only a 10 minute drive from the M5 North/ South (Gordano Services, Pill/ Portishead). It’s a 10 minute walk to the train station with regular 10 minute train journeys to Bristol and direct trains to London Paddington or south to Taunton. There are a variety of local bus services. It’s a 15-20 minute drive into Bristol, a 10 minute drive to Bristol airport and a 5-10 minute walk to Nailsea town centre with lots of independent shops, cafes and restaurants as well as Waitrose, Tout’s (local SW independent), Co-op and Tesco supermarkets. BEDDING We use feather duvets and feather pillows on top with firmer synthetic pillows underneath when making the beds. Please let us know in advance if you have any allergies to feathers/ down and we can make sure everything is synthetic. In addition we provide extra blankets in case needed although the duvet weights will always be suitable for the season plus the central heating can be adjusted to whatever temperature you prefer.
