This beautiful vacation rental with private pool awaits you in Caunes-Minervois, in Aude, in Occitanie, 21km from the remarkable Cité de Carcassonne. This modern and comfortable, fully air-conditioned house has a beautiful swimming pool (heated on request at an additional cost) with automatic cover which offers total privacy. It will therefore be as perfect in summer as in spring or autumn, with water at the right temperature. The villa has three bedrooms, each with bathrooms of their own. Elegantly decorated, modern and bright, and perfectly equipped. The upstairs has a balcony with breathtaking views of the landscapes of the Minervois. The property is placed on the side of the Black Mountain, and offers lots of privacy. Caunes-Minervois is a very beautiful medieval village, accessible on foot from the house, and with all kind of shops. We play at the children's playground, we visit a 13th century Benedictine abbey, we stroll through the red marble quarries (which adorns the Palace of Versailles, the Louvre and the Paris Opera), through the cobbled streets lined with sumptuous Renaissance facades, you can bask on the terrace of a café in the shade or within the grounds of the Notre Dame du Cros site, 30 minutes' walk away, where there is a spring, a rocky canyon and a climbing site. 25 minutes' drive away, the medieval city of Carcassonne, surrounded by two defensive walls and overlooked by fifty-two towers and listed as World Heritage by UNESCO, is absolutely essential. You can even discover it by horse-drawn carriage or small train. Do not miss to try one of the musts of Occitan cuisine: the famous cassoulet, accompanied by an excellent local wine. Then, set off to meet the Canal du Midi, which connects Toulouse to Sète through the famous vineyards and the picturesque villages, by bike, on foot, with a rental boat, the banks offer beautiful peaceful walks in unreal hues.
