A very bright and happy cottage which has just undergone an extensive renovation and is furnished with an eye for detail. 3 bedrooms, two bathrooms (one ensuite) and a long west facing garden with table and chairs, a couple of comfy chairs and outside lighting for romantic evenings! There is a parking clock for the long term car park two minutes around the corner. (a second clock is available when needed) A pet is generally accepted but please discuss type of pet first with owner before booking as it is a small cottage. It is a few seconds' level walk to the high street on the preferred south side. Waitrose, M&S and Tesco are a short walk. The top/second floor bedroom has a 6 foot bed - which can be split into two singles. On the first floor there is a small bedroom with two singles - which can be zipped to form a 5 foot bed. The master on the first floor has a six foot bed and an ensuite bathroom - a bath with a shower and screen over it. There is a family shower room on the first floor. On the first floor landing is a large framed mirror - behind which is 'hidden' the laundry cupboard with a separate washing machine and dryer. The sitting room has an open smokeless coal fire and a large TV screen. It is a double reception room with a dining table at one end which will comfortably seat 6. Wonderful fully insulated curtains for cosy winter nights. The kitchen looks over the sunny garden through a large window and has a barn door to access the garden . Good for keeping children and dogs inside and allowing a through flow of air. It has a fully equipped kitchen with among other items a dishwasher, microwave, coffee machine, blender and toaster. There is a Hauck travel cot (dream and play) for babies. Smoking is not allowed inside the house and we don't accept bookings for parties/events. Lymington is a medieval market town made famous by the salt trade. The stunning New Forest is a short drive away and is also accessible by bus and train. The harbour and town quay have a plethora of cafes, pubs and restaurants and are a 5 minute walk from the house. Coastal and river walks begin 10 minutes away including the sea wall, providing a heavenly walk along the water which boasts views across to the Isle of Wight and The Needles. Every Saturday there is a large market selling fruit, vegetables, antiques and more. If visiting with children, the Sea Water Baths will provide a brilliant family day out where you can participate in Zorbing, Canoeing and crossing the Giant Inflatable Assault Course. If you are a golfer, there are several golf courses nearby. The closest is in Lymington. Others include the New Forest Club, Brokenhurst Golf club and Burley Golf Club. Or if you love the water, take a boat trip!
