Accessible to all areas of Brittany due to the central location. Decorated in traditional French furniture. All guests are welcome. 200 metres from a main cycle route, 9 km from Nantes Brest canal cycle path. Sorry but we can only accept small, well behaved dogs. The gite is on a small holding down a quiet lane. No neighbours, so very quiet. This is a converted barn, so all electrics and plumbing are new as if 2018. The kitchen has an electric heater tap for hot and cold water. All furniture is antique, so may creak a bit. Bed is very comfortable, as we have lived in the gite to test it. There is an electric heater on the hot tap in bathroom and hot gas shower but NO bath. Heating is an antique traditional French wood burner and a 3kw mobile petrole heater. Rear patio area is completely private for guest use only. 800m from the main road D790. 2 small steps from gravel parking area into gite. Parking is directly outside gite entrance. Flat patio area to rear. We live on site, so will be available at all times for help and advice. There are a large amount of leaflets in the gite, offering a variety of places to explore in the surrounding areas. Paul was a mechanic in a previous life, so is able to offer bike repairs and checks, if needed. The local town Rostrenen has a market on Tuesday which is large and offers amazing fresh food. There are several restaurants and a very good kebab shop. Lidl, E'leclerc & Intermarché supermarkets + pharmacy 9km away, SuperU/Pharmacy 6 km at Saint Nicolas du Pelem. Car is advisable, as the bus service is only once a day. Cyclists are encouraged, and treated with the greatest respect in France. Pedestrians are also given wide berth by cars, and there are beautiful walks here. There are barn cats and chickens on the farm that are very friendly, so we cannot allow pets as guests unless they are small, very well behaved and on a leash at all times.
