Renovated 1 Bedroom Garden Studio
This is a lovely space - recently renovated, sitting quietly at the bottom of our garden. It has a separate bedroom with 2 x beds, kitchen, lounge, dining table, bathroom and outdoor seating area. We are on the Marrickville/Dulwich Hill border and very close to transport and 7.5km from the CBD. The flat is 8m x 6m and has a separate bedroom containing 2 x beds (single and a queen). The lounge has French doors opening onto a lovely garden and there is outdoor seating for your personal use. There is a TV with built in DVD player. Plunger coffee, tea, milk etc are provided. The kitchen is well equipped with a fridge, washing machine, microwave, hot plate stove top (no oven), electric frypan, sandwich maker and all cutlery, pans, crockery etc that you will need for cooking. Tea towels and washing up liquid are also provided. The washing machine is in the kitchen with a washing line in the garden. The beds are in a bedroom separated from the lounge by a 3/4 wall, but please note that there is an opening and no door on the open section. Whilst you can't see the bedroom from the lounge, you cannot completely close it off. The bathroom has a vanity, toilet and with a shower/wet room space. There are ceiling fans in the lounge and the bedroom and an air conditioner in the lounge. You will have the whole flat to yourselves with access down the path alongside our house so that you can come and go as you please. There is a pool type lock on the gate to the side path. Information about where to find the key will be given by email. There is lots of useful information in a folder in the flat, but we are also very happy to help in any way to make your stay more comfortable, please just ask. The flat is at the bottom of the garden away from the main house but you may see us pottering about in the garden and will sometimes need to access the garden shed adjacent to the flat. We border the suburbs of Marrickville and Dulwich Hill. There are many cafes, restaurants and wine bars (all of which the Inner West is well known for) which are all an easy 10-15 minute walk but there are also a few cafes and shops near the train station which are even closer. You are spoiled for choice! The food and coffee are wonderful. Check out cafes like Cornersmith and Two Chaps online. Newtown is also famous for it's nightlife and is a short bus/train/taxi ride away. Apart from cafe's, the closest shops near the train station include a newsagent, dry cleaners, Thai restaurant, pizzeria, fish and chip shop, mini supermarket, bottle shop (off licence) amongst others. There are mainstream supermarkets both at Marrickville and Dulwich Hill. There is plenty of free parking in our street, often available right outside of our house. We live on a quiet, wide and safe road. Dulwich Hill Train station is about a 5 minute walk, as are the buses and the relatively new light rail. All of these modes of transport go into the CBD, the fastest of which is the train which takes 17 mins to central station. We do have 2 x cats and there is also a neighbours cat that likes to sit with ours! They generally don't go near the flat but they are often in the garden. My husband loves to tend the garden so you may see him working in the garden or in the shed. Please note, we welcome children but this space is best suited to children 8 years plus.
