The House of Passal is in a unique location in the context of the Romanesque Route of the Sousa Valley - sharing space Gamuz Largo, one of the most important monuments of the route, the Paço de Sousa Monastery, where a table balance and harmony between the beauty of the natural and built landscape. The Monastery of San Salvador de Sousa Palace, National Monument, is the main medieval monastery of the river Sousa basin, having a rich history, which has its beginnings long before the construction of the building that, at present, remains. Inside the church, conserves the most important national Roman tomb: the funerary monument of D. Egas Moniz, tutor D. Afonso Henriques and main driver of the monastery, in whose vicinity had palace.
