A private 25 hectare property, in its heart, a Lake, on its edge, a Lodge… Our Property A secluded private property of totally preserved nature, alternating cultivated plains, vast wild prairies, and lovely surrounding woods. An untamed but well-kept environment, in front line to admire mother nature at its best ! The Lake In its heart, a beautiful 1 hectare lake, perfect for swimming, rowing or fishing, or just to rest, read or admire, comfortably seated on the large wooden deck or, on the suspended pontoon over the lake, greeting the ducks and other local inhabitants… The Lodge Our Lodge, is an independent guest house, fitted very comfortably to be shared by two, ideally perched on the embankment of our lake, to fully enjoy the fantastic open view. Heated, air-conditioned, very well insulated, and fully equipped, LACabane is open for rent all year. Bedroom : king size bed (160 x200), luxury bedding, open wardroom, and desk. Bathroom : walk in stone and oak shower, double sink, towel radiator, and separate toilets. Living area : a small but fully equipped kitchen (oven/microwave, dish-washer, induction plates, fridge + real freezer) and a bar counter with stools. A comfortable couch and coffee table, TV and stereo, and a large bay window opening directly on the terrace. Outdoor : Table and chairs, sun-beds, barbecue, row-boat, canoe, and paddle. Terrace heating and awning. LACabane is a fully equiped and totally independant lodge. If needed, a washing machine + dryer is at your disposal in our Family Guest House. Your Hosts We always greet personally all our guests who come to stay at LACabane ! We will also be very happy to help you prepare your visit, or to give you all the keys to best enjoy your stay on-site. Our guest house is totally independent (100m away, and not visible from our home). We are always present if needed, but you can also enjoy your stay in total intimacy, if preferred ! Our property is situated at the doors of the beautiful Périgord area, in south-western France, between Bergerac (in Dordogne) and Saint Emilion (in Gironde). A lovely rolling countryside environment, alternating vineyards, farmlands and woods, just 15mn away from the beautiful Dordogne river valley. The major cities of Périgueux and Bordeaux are an hour away. The resorts of the Atlantic coast are slightly further away, but possible for a day trip. The Lot et Garonne is also a lovely area to visit, for lunch or for the day. All kinds of varied activities (cultural, sports and/or fun and also gastronomic) are available “to do” close-by, but once you reach LACabane, you just might not want to leave…
