Raindrop cottage in the hills
Warmly decorated, cosy private studio in a lovely leafy area in the Adelaide hills. 1 large main room studio with a fully equipped kitchenette, small table and 2 chairs, a queen size bed, large desk and sofas. Separate bathroom with twin shower. The cottage has a smart tv with a connection to Netflix. We supply organic shower gel, shampoo, conditioner and hand-wash. Enjoy the peace of a morning coffee or lunch on your own deck surrounded by magnificent bird life. Either for a romantic gate away, a short break, a holiday or a work related trip you will enjoy the peaceful and secluded raindrop cottage. There is provision for ORGANIC tea, coffee, sugar and milk. We will be happy to purchase any special dietary milk at your request. Just mention it to us with your booking. You will find plenty of great bakeries, cafes, restaurants, supermarkets and shops in our area. An excellent laundromat is close by. The studio has both heating and cooling. It is a strictly non-smoking space. You will have the studio all to yourself with separate entrance, deck and covered car park. We will try our best to greet every guest but work and other commitments sometimes do not allow for this to happen. So we have organised a lock box for accessing the key. A code will be shared with guests after each booking confirmation. We live in the main house separated from the studio by a lovely native garden and is always available to attend at your request. The cottage is a 3 minute drive from Belair National park well known for it's splendid nature experience and great walking trails. All the attractions that the Adelaide hills has to offer, Heritage listed German town Hahndorf with its extensive shopping experience and picturesque Stirling, famous for it’s leafy streets and wonderful country market (the 4th Sunday of each month) to name a few is only a short drive away. Half an hour drive will take you to Mt Lofty offering a panoramic view of the Adelaide city and ocean, famous for the Waterfall Gully and Cleland wildlife conservation park where you can interact and feed native wildlife including kangaroos and koalas. Driving south will take you to McLaren Vale wine region and beautiful southern beaches. Magnificent Fleurieu Peninsula is only one hour drive from Glenalta and is worth visiting. The award winning Belair hotel is conveniently a short walking distance from the studio. Flinders Uni is at the bottom of the hills, 20 minutes drive. Adelaide city is only a 20 minute drive from the cottage, otherwise the Glenalta Railway Station is a 3 minutes walk and with a 35 minute train ride through the hills you will be in the heart of the Adelaide city. The train runs every 30 minutes everyday of the week until 12.30am, (every hour on weekends) so you can always enjoy a night out in the city for a meal, a dance or a concert. With one connection the train will take you to the tram where you can enjoy Adelaides popular Glenelg beach. The train will also take you to the beautiful beaches of Adelaide with the last stop being close to Seaford Beach with one connection in Adelaide Showgrounds Railway Station.
