Oakleigh Cottage offers a full holiday experience on the Lower Mill Estate with activities such as swimming, tennis, cycling, water sports, fishing, walking, playgrounds and a 500 acre private nature reserve which is yours to explore including an onsite Spa to help you relax. All while staying at a cosy, contemporary feel cottage featuring an open plan living/dining room with wood burner which includes technology such as unlimited super fast fibre internet available for multiple devices (300mbps), Smart TV in lounge with complimentary access to Netflix, a second Smart TV upstairs with X-box (plus games and films), and Bluetooth speaker are provided. There are also board games and a selection of Netflix films for cosy nights in front of the fire. Travel cot, stair gate, high chair, bed guard, baby bath seat and toddler feeding utensils are also available. Lower Mill Estate is situated on a private 500 acre nature reserve which includes several lakes, interspersed with walking/cycle paths including the Thames Path which runs past the cottage. There are varying activities available to enjoy on the water including fishing, boating, paddle boarding and kayaking. All equipment for these water sports (apart from fishing) and bike hire is available from the Activity Hub found on site which also offers lessons during peak season. You can also enjoy treatments at the onsite spa (charges apply) to help you unwind while enjoying your break. On booking we send a digital guide which gives further details on how and when to book any equipment or activities you wish to hire. Included in the cottage nightly rate there is access to four pools; one indoor, and three are heated to 30c plus saunas, steam rooms, technogym, children’s playgrounds, tennis courts, astro turf and table tennis. From the lake at the back of the property is the start of a children’s nature trail and treasure hunt with picnic spots around the estate. During school holidays there are various activities organised to encourage children to interact with their natural environment (booking and charges may apply). The Ballihoo is a few minutes walk away from the cottage and is open for drinks, meals, take away and general supplies. Plus a new take away pizza shack is now open. We are dog friendly (sorry no cats). Dogs must be well behaved and house trained, please contact us if you wish to bring two. We do not accept puppies under 24 months or dogs in training. Dogs are to be kept downstairs only and not allowed on furniture. The Lower Mill Estate is a nature reserve so therefore there are no fences between properties. For your safety and comfort we only accept bookings with a maximum of 8 people plus two infants in travel cots (only one travel cot provided). We do not accept stag or hen parties.
