A beautiful escape to the countryside and stunning mountain range of the Chartreuse. A retreat for complete rejuvenation and calm. Our Savoyarde chalet is typical of the region and is set high up facing the impressive Chartreuse mountain range. Our views are stunning due to its superb location in a small hamlet between two pretty French towns. Guests are welcome to enjoy sunny afternoons and evenings sitting on the terrace. There is also a pool for guests during the summer months and a large meadow garden. We want to reassure all our guests booked to stay in our home during the Covid 19 health crisis, that we continue to provide an excellent regime of cleanliness throughout all areas. We have always opted to maintain high levels of hygiene in the holiday accommodation and public areas by using high temperature steam cleaning machines that destroy bacteria and ensure sanitary surfaces. In order to minimise person-to-person contact, we recommend using the coded key box to access the key to your holiday rental and likewise during this period we shall provide a supply of hand sanitizer and gloves for entering the main door of the property. All accommodation units continue to be supplied with soaps and fresh towels for guest’s use and as expected all bedlinen provided is laundered after every stay. Much as we would love to spend contact time with our guests by welcoming them with a drink, a chat, and a show around the property, we understand this may well be unsuitable during this time of uncertainty. We do, however, hope you make the most of the stunning scenery and glorious countryside of le Massif de Chartreuse, and enjoy a much-needed break in peaceful surroundings. It is known to be one of the most scenic areas to stay due to the protected woodland and mountain areas. There are many species of wild animals you could expect to see when out on a hiking path, such as deer, boar, eagles, red squirrels and chamois mountain goats. It is an area of natural beauty and popular with walkers, cyclists and skiers (during the winter months). We are situated between two medium sized towns. St Laurent du Pont is a 25 minutes stroll from our chalet and you will find a good bus service from this town that travels to the ski station nearby (St Pierre de Chartruese) and to Chambery and Lyon. We have a large gated parking zone within our property grounds for those guests bringing their own vehicle. If you are keen to go on a trip to Geneva or Turin there are coaches and train services that operate nearby We provide a continental breakfast to guests staying in this double room and a selection of hot drinks to enjoy. It is important to be aware that we cannot permit smokers on the property. We also do not allow pets on the premises
