Quirky unique cottage near Rhayader centre

This little cottage was once the vagrants quarters of the Rhayader Union Workhouse and the original stone grading windows where the inmates ground rocks to earn their keep are still a feature of the cottage! We are very close to the cycling and walking routes of the River Wye & Elan Valley. The cottage is all on one floor with a comfy double bedroom, shower room and fully fitted kitchen/diner. The lounge area has a TV, DVDi and reliable wifi is available throughout the property. The cottage has a lovely light and airy feel with beautiful views over the local countryside. We have parking for two cars in the dedicated parking area and all guests will have access to the beautiful grounds surrounding the property; this includes a historic courtyard with picnic tables. The cottage is dog friendly and there are plenty of local scenic walks for you to enjoy with your four legged friend. It is a 10 minute walk into the centre of Rhayader which has a lovely selection of shops, pubs and two tea rooms. The cottage is for the sole use of guests. Access to the cottage is by key safe so you can arrive at anytime after 4pm. There is a bus stop outside the house and a bus station in Rhayader. The nearerst railway station is Llandrindod Wells.
