Private self contained 2 bedroom guest house on the River Zêzere in the beautiful village of Aldeia do Mato. 30 metres to the River 100 metres to the Nautical Park and Cafe. A truly stunning location with Swimming, fishing, kayaking, boating, wakeboarding and hiking. A piece of paradise in Portugal. Pet are always welcome The guest house has a modern kitchen / dining / living area, bathroom and two bedrooms (each bedroom has a double bed with nets). A babies bed is available. NOTE: To access the second bedroom you must walk through the first bedroom. The kitchen has a microwave / oven / induction cooking / refrigerator / freezer and is well-equipped with all the necessary cooking utensils and ingredients. Outside is a bbq, table and chairs looking over the river and the village. All linen and towels are supplied. All floors are heated for winter visits. There is secure parking on the property. There is a canoe available to use for free. The closest access to the river is in front of the house, only 30 metres away. The Nautical Park/Café is 100 metres from the guesthouse. You can swim off the floating pontoon, fish, kayak, hire a boat, wakeboard and enjoy the food and drink from the Café. The floating pontoon has a netted section for children to swim in safety. During the summer season lifeguards are on duty every day. There are many beautiful walking tracks where you can explore all the hidden swimming areas. Access is flat and wheelchair friendly My home is next door to the guest house. I am available at anytime to help with any questions or information and your privacy will be ensured at all times. A wonderful touristic location which is well known for its swimming area and café/bar snack facilities. The village has 2 cafes and a small shop where you can buy fresh bread and essentials. The larger supermarkets ie., Lidl, Pingo Doce, Intermarche are in Abrantes or Tomar. If you intend on cooking it would be advisable to do your shopping at one of these larger supermarkets before arrival. Estética da Aldeia - for massages and beauty care in the village. Visit their (Hidden by Airbnb) page. 5 km away are two restaurants. 4 km away - Castelo do Bode barragem - a fascinating dam. 14 km to Abrantes and 17 km to Tomar, two main cities which are popular for their castles and nightlife. 145 km to Lisboa (55 mins on the train) 250 km to Porto Public transport is limited. Closest train stations are Tomar or Entroncamento where a taxi can be hired. Taxis are available on request from the village. A bus service leaves early to go into Abrantes once a day. Please note that each bedroom has a double bed. There are no single beds. To access the second bedroom you have to walk through the first bedroom. We have a babies bed if required.
