Welcome to Casa Aiva! The ideal place where peace and nature meet comfort and modernity. The nice hillside location offers a wonderful view. Swimming pool from June to September. The strategic location near Pinerolo offers cultural tours, outdoor activities, sports and mountain walks, for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday. In the same property, ideal for couples, the romantic cottage Il Ciabutin. The apartment is adjacent to our, it has its own entrance and absolute privacy. It is composed of a big bedroom, a spacious bathroom, a kitchen, a living room and a dining room with French windows. The bedroom is composed of a wooden double bed, lattice mattress and two nice sofa beds. The living room has a double sofa bed and a TV sat. The kitchen equipment: a stove with 5 hobs electric, oven, microwave, kettle. The bathroom is made from chestnut wood: shower, sink, bidet and toilet. The dining room has a big table which can seat up to 10 people. The outside patio has a shade and a table with outside chairs. BBQ grill. It’s complete with a shade and a fenced garden all around. It can host a maximum of 6 people (better a family with children or 2-4 adults). The interior is made of massello wood, PEFC certified, only treated with natural oils and waxes, and Perosa stone. The apartment is not air conditioned, as the summer days, even the hottest, are always pleasantly breezy and it is difficult to find mosquitoes in these parts, due to the altitude and the climate is generally dry and never muggy. For the winter period, there is a stove in the living room as well as a heating system. Exposure: south-east View of: garden, countryside, plains, mountains, from Torino to Cuneese. Altitude: 505m. Tv sat, wi-fi. Private parking Bicycle storage (on demand) In all season, enjoy extensive nature walks all around and silence and relaxation in our vineyard, orchard and vegetable garden. At the end of September, you could help us with the grape harvest… During the summer, enjoy our swimming pool with roman steps, hydro massage, sun languets and umbrellas, partially heated by the sun. It is to share with any guests of "Ciabutin", small house in the vineyard for a maximum of 2 people. We take care of the daily cleaning of the pool. Outdoor hot shower, near the swimming pool. Here you can taste the Ciabutin red wine from the proprietary vineyard located in front of the house and many local products. We are affiliated with the Restaurant "Il Punto a Capo" in San Secondo di Pinerolo and with Made in Pinerolo, that could offer to you many nice things to do according to your interests. Living right next, if you would like it, you could ask us any information. We respect your privacy but we'll be happy to suggest you what to do and where to go according to your needs and preferences. You'll find fairs, hiking, villages and restaurants suitable to your tastes far from the chaos! It 'important to say that we have two dogs that we keep locked in our garden. We are on the hill of San Secondo, a quiet village at the foot of the Cozie Alps, at 4 km. from Pinerolo, known for its elegance and temperate climate. You will discover a still authentic region, away from mass tourism and confusion and in any season you will delight and charm! Pinerolo has an interesting medieval centre and it is historically linked to horses. It was home to the prestigious military riding school, attended by cavalry officers from around the world for a century. The national cavalry museum provides an interesting history of the Italian cavalry. Among culinary specialities there are: Panettone Galup, Torta Zurich and Pinerolese wines. Pinerolo has numerous shows and events and it's a top point of departure for visiting the beautiful Torino (at 40 kilometres and 40 minutes by car). Mountains are very near (40 minutes by car): you'll find very nice walks, wild areas and fantastic views. You will have the opportunity to meet artists and artisans of the area and to attend courses in sculpture, painting and pottery, wine tasting in the vineyards, cooking classes and activities on the farm together with your children. The region is normally well involved in many important events. Take the chance to discover our area and its beauty, not yet very known by the large number of tourists! Even if there is public transport, we suggest to have a car for visiting in the better way our region. We have private parking. Easy access for guest to the motorway which takes one to Turin in 20 minutes by car. Yo'll find relaxation and sport, visiting the beautiful town of Torino and its’ interesting surrounding area: the Royal Residences, Pinerolo and Saluzzo, Bourcet, Usseaux and the Fort of Fenestrelle, or walking in the mountains, the parks and the Olympic valleys. You could also try rock climbing, bird watching, golf, horseback riding, snowshoeing on snow. If you like biking, you'll find many kind of roads and mtb trails and the possibility to rent a bike. If you like skiing, at 40 minutes you'll choose between different ski resorts, for all levels. You'll also enjoy fairs and festivals that celebrate local products (wine, apples, blueberries, meat, herbs, mushrooms, biscuits). Families with children will find many fun activities, including Scopriminiera, the murals of Usseaux, sundials of Balboutet, the Park Zoom, museums, and many pleasant walks. This is an area characterized by the most populated Italian protestant community, the Valdese, and the Occitan culture. From here, in 1hour and half you'll also reach the seaside: Spotorno, Bergeggi and Noli are beautiful villages, very lively and with a very nice and bright sea. We moved to this house from the Turin area because we were fascinated by the place. Here our family has experienced a change of lifestyle and started to use the land to our advantage. In fact, Aiva means Acqua (Water): we have a water source… It also means for us: Aria -Air, Incanto -Enchanting, Vacanza -Holiday, Agricoltura -Agriculture. More, we could apply some values which have always been fundamental to us concerning eco-sustainability: photovoltaic panels for electricity and hot water solar panels, drain for the collection of rain water, ecological materials friendly to the environment and health. We also have many relationships with local producers and we can give our guests the opportunity to buy good products, genuine and of quality directly from them. Also we can offer the possibility to participate in specific courses, for example on the preparation of the pizza with local and organic flour We’ll be glad to share with the guests the positive sensations which this place has given us and continues offering from the very beginning.
