The cottage is over 120 years old and originally came to the island via barge before the bridge to the island was built. The cottage has been kept to its original character but at a ripe old age of 120 years it has obviously had a lot of updates. The location is everything!! Walk cross your back yard and sink your toes into the white sandy shore and crystal-clear waters of the stunning Pumicestone passage. The beach is your backyard!! There are only ten other properties on the entire island that offer such a prime beachfront location. Just think sunsets and sunrises over the water, watching the kids play on the beach from the comfort of your back deck, fish from your back yard, the possibilities are endless. If you can ever pull yourself away from the stunning beaches of Bribie Island you can take a short stroll to the main hub of Bongaree with the Jetty and an array of shops, cafes, clubs, restaurants, takeaways, parks, walking and biking tracks, Buckleys hole (bird watches heaven), weekend markets the list goes on. You really can not find a better spot for a relaxing beachfront holiday. The property offers its guests a comfortable place to put your feet up and feel at home. There are all the essentials at the cottage with character filled and original finishings, even down to the eighty-year-old light shades. This is a place to put away the phone, xbox, and ipads and light a fire in the fire pit of the front yard, show the kids how to cook dinner by making a camp oven or roast marshmallows. Fire up the BBQ to cook todays fresh catch using the special Fishermans outdoor set up. Bring the back-yard cricket set and the kids' bike as there is a huge yard for the kids to play in when they are not at the beach.You can even anchor your boat at front of the property on sandy flats. Once you have exhausted all the outdoor possibilities the cottage offers you, you can relax inside with its three bedrooms and one bathroom. The main bedroom has a queen size bed, TV and air conditioning, the second bedroom has two single beds and the third bedroom has a single bunk set. The bathroom is down a couple set of stairs off the lounge room and has a separate toilet, shower, vanity and washing machine. There is a sofa and TV in the air-conditioned living room, a kitchen with all the essentials and a sperate breakfast bar/dinning room over looking the water. Tidal Dreams is a place to make memories with family and friends. And you couldn't really find a better down to earth beach front cottage than this one. Please note linen is not included and you will need to bring your own sheets, pillowcases, bathmats, bath towels, hand towels and tea towels. Doonas and pillows will always be provided. Or you can hire linen for an additional cost of $25.00 x Double Set and $17.50 x Single Set which includes all linen apart from beach/pool towels.
