Spectacular view across the Val de Chiana and to the hilltop of Monte Cetona and the old medieval town of Città della Pieve. Within its original stone walls, terra-cotta floors, beamed ceilings and the work of craftsmanship combine the best of old with practical , this is the ideal base from which families can visit Umbria and South of Tuscany. A cozy casual living room with fireplace opening into a large dining room makes this space comfortable all year round. A well-equipped open kitchen with large gas hob, electric oven, dishwasher and bathroom has been created for friends and family who loved to share good food and great cooking. Adjacent you find the library-music room with amazing view. Additional ground floor loft-living room,open directly to garden and pool , equipped with plasma TV and divan bed (160x195) provides privacy to one bedroom (twin ,can be queen) and bathroom with large walk-in shower.Three bedrooms on the first floor are comfortable unfussy and airy, all look out to wonderful view and have original antique beds, updated with custom mattresses and linens. All windows have screens , no air-conditioning . Central heating is used in wintertime. Bedroom 1 (queen 180x200) has en suite bathroom with large walk-in shower. Bedroom 2 (3/4 bed perfect as a single or for two small children ) and bedroom 3 (twins can be queen) shares bathroom , full bath with shower, down the hall.There is a selection of board games , cards and children's toys ect.. for your use. Covered outside dining area off the kitchen with marble table and the gorgeous views of the countryside , overlooking the outdoor pool surrounded by neat lawns, acres of olive trees and the picturesque old town of Città della Pieve. The pool is equipped with outside shower, 8 beach-beds and lots of shade under fig-trees. The property has a nice little vineyard which you reach in 5 min walk thru the olive groves. Sebastiano and /or Sonila will welcome you. He is a professional cook and he can make you a dinner on request . If you want to discover the art of making bread or fresh pasta , he can also give you a lesson. He lives close by and if you need any help do not hesitate to contact him. Città della Pieve has good options for cultural visits, food shopping and supplies(1,8km); Orvieto Duomo (30min); Montegabbione with its surreal church La Scarzuola not to be missed (30min); Perugia (30min), San Casciano dei Bagni renowned thermal spa (25min), Montepulciano(1h30min) Exit Fabro Scalo on the highway A1 from the south (direction Rome 1h30min) or exit Chiusi from the north( direction Florence 1h30min) or Chiusi scalo train station
