Charming and quiet three-bedroom home with a stunning view of the Alps over Lake Geneva. Easy access to skiing, lake, Vevey, Lausanne and Montreux. This is the downstairs apartment of a duplex style home. We, the owners, live in the upstairs Apartment. No Parties. Downstairs: - spacious living room with a large dining area and a fireplace - bright kitchen with a stove-top, oven, big fridge and a dishwasher - direct access to the terrace - toilet Upstairs: - master bedroom: queen-size bed, wardrobe and dresser - ensuite bathroom: tub/shower and a washer - second bedroom: queen-size bed, wardrobe - third bedroom: full-size pull-out bed, wardrobe, dresser - bathroom: shower cabin Exclusive use of the apartment, including an outdoor gas grill, outdoor seating and parking space. We strive to provide everything you will need during your stay, but you're always welcome to let us know if you need anything else. The neighborhood is mostly residential and agricultural. The sound of cow bells fills the air. There is no commerce in the area. Chatel St. Denis is a cute little village with grocery stores and restaurants and nearly everything you need. 5 minutes by bus or car, or a 25 minute walk. Bus stop outside the house with direct line to shopping and other city amenities in Vevey and Chatel St. Denis The bus runs hourly up and down the Veveyse valley. The bus to Vevey railway station takes 20 minutes. Chatel St. Denis is 5 minutes the other direction. From Chatel St. Denis there is a commuter train that takes you to Palezieux Gare, on the main train line between Lausanne and Bern. We are 25 minutes by car from Lausanne, 15 from Montreux, and 10 from Vevey. Other sites in the region might be the Chateau Gruyere (25minutes) or the Cailler chocolate factory in Broc (25 minutes). 45 minutes to fantastic skiing in Champery (Portes du Soleil) or equally beautiful Leysin. The region is ideal for road cycling. Undulating hills, steep vinyard terrain, or flat along the shores of lake Geneva can all be easily reached from our doorstep.
