Beautiful Manor House. 7 bedroom, 4 bathrooms and a swimming pool set in 5 acres of private grounds. Surrounded by 5 acres of private grounds, mature trees and wonderful vistas around every corner, Chapeau is the ideal place to get away from it all. Enter through the stone gates, along the long winding wooded drive and leave the outside world behind you. This idyllic rural location is peaceful and private, yet just a five minute stroll to the local village past the neighbouring medieval chateau. The local village has a Boulangerie, Delicatessen and a small general store, there is also a village tennis court, 2 traditional French restaurants, one with a small bar. The private pool receives the sun all day and the terraces are positioned to provide the choice between sun or natural shade. There are large wooden tables with benches and chairs for eating al fresco in the warm summer evenings and you can choose to cook on coal, a large gas BBQ or if you're feeling adventurous, the Wood Oven. The spacious accommodation is beautifully furnished and well equipped. There are 7 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms in the main house, with a maximum occupancy of 15. Please note that we live in a converted barn next to the house. We live onsite next to the house and thoroughly respect the privacy of all our guests. Should you require any assistance with anything or would like to ask a question etc, we are on hand to help. Chapeau is situated in the pretty rural village on Badefol's D'ans, which consists of a artisan boulangerie, 2 restaurants, a post office, a small convenience store and a charcuterie. The walk into the village is only 5 minutes, past the grand old chateaux. The nearest town of Hautefort is a ten minute drive and has some fabulous restaurants, an impressive historical chateaux, a museum, a pharmacy, a hairdressers- to name just a few. The wooded grounds are a paradise for children to play in and we provide lots of games, etc, for all ages including badminton, table tennis, boules and 14ft trampoline with safety enclosure. Baby equipment is available on request. There is a piano in the salon. Bicycles available. The pool measures 11 by 5 meters and has a Roman End, underwater lighting and hydro jet. There is a covered eating area with barbecue and pizza oven on the terrace. Please note that central heating and logs, if required, are charged extra (at cost price).
