Welcome to Lilac cottage the cottage dates back to 1750 and many original features such as stone walls, beams and flooring have been retained during its extensive refurbishment in 2017. Relax in front of the log burner and soak those limbs in the luxurious bath, you will not be disappointed! The three story cottage has been lovingly renovated to a very high standard. It has three good sized bedrooms. Two double rooms are situated on the 2nd floor along with a guest toilet and sink. One room has a double bed and the other twin beds. A hairdryer is provided. The master bedroom is on the first floor and has an ensuite bathroom with shower cubical, sink and toilet. Luxury cotton bedding and towels are provided. The main bathroom is on the first floor and has a contemporary freestanding bath and separate shower cubical, sink, toilet and heated towel rail. Complimentary toiletries are provided. The kitchen is well equipped with gas hob, electric oven, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, washer/dryer, Nespresso coffee machine and microwave. The lounge/dining area has comfy seating along with a log burner. The dining table can house up to 6 people. There is a south facing cottage garden where you can sit and relax with a glass of wine or read your book on luxury garden furniture. In the spring and summer months the garden is full of colour when the cottage garden flowers are in bloom. This added feature is a bonus for the town location. Other property features include Smart TV, with the use of Netflix. Unlimited super fast broadband (wi fi), bluetooth speaker, log burner (complimentary wood, and coal for initial fire), remote controlled Velux windows. There is an assortment of board games to keep you entertained. The cottage has a modern gas condensing hot water/heating boiler benefiting from "Nest control". There are local buses into the large towns of Kendal and Lancaster. The nearest mainline train station is Oxenholme at Kendal, this is a 15 minutes taxi ride away. Note the price is per night for the whole house not per person which makes it considerably cheap for this standard of luxury accommodation. Parking is not available at the cottage however Kirkby Lonsdale offers free street parking, time-limited on street parking, good value car parks and free parking areas a few minutes walk away.
