A calm and peaceful place located 15 minutes drive away from the clamor of Arusha town,en route the northern circuit tourism destinations(Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Tarangire, Manyara etc). It is a very beautiful place that derives its value from a close connection with nature. Built of cob and other natural materials, Kutoka is one unpretentious natural beauty that induces relaxation. Its accessible location is both convenient for guests headed for the Northern circuit of Tanzania's famous tourist destinations(Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Tarangire and Manyara) and for those guests who wish to spend more time in Arusha without getting caught up in its clamor as they retire peacefully into this nest at the end of a busy day. Bedroom The space has one beautifully designed curvilinear bedroom with a double bed that can host two persons. The bed is intentionally positioned to allow the soft morning sun rays to welcome you in to a new day as they gently fall on your face(If you would leave the curtains open). There is also a laptop friendly workspace. Bathroom Adjoining the bedroom is an en suite private bathroom with a corner shower for your comfortable hot showers with good water pressure. Living Space and Kitchenette The living space is spacious with a sofa capable of seating at least eight persons. There is an open kitchenette with a bar, sink and a refrigerator. The entire house has a double volume thatched roof that enhances a sense of space and freedom. The Deck Connected to the living space is a private wooden deck that welcomes you to the breathtaking views of Mount Meru and sometimes the Mount Kilimanjaro on clear days. Surrounds The outside surrounds are covered in natural grass and acacia trees that evoke the feeling of the African Savannah. Birdlife There is quite a variety of bird species that frequent the area in different seasons, among others include, the black headed heron, cattle egret, hammerkop, fire finches, Zanzibar bishop, pin tailed whydah, mouse birds, superb starling, Augur Buzzard, morning starlings and humming birds. The birds would generously fill the air with beautiful sounds for most of the day. Guests are kindly welcome to access the main house, the garden, the deck and the natural environment that forms part of the view from the deck and the free parking. Guests are warmly welcome to feel comfortable and have the best stay. This is a Maasai land, the guests may get an opportunity to learn a thing or two about the maasai traditions upclose (if they like). Sometime the morning air may be filled with soft sounds of cattle and sheep hoofs as they are being reared by young maasai boys in search of pasture. It has a nature, untamed look that may also be appealing to the nature enthusiasts. The location is 10 minutes walk to public transportation. We do morning runs five times are week. You will be more than welcome to join us share these peaceful and rejuvenating moments in nature. If you will be interested, please don't forget to bring your running gear.
