Our home is located a stones throw from the Historic Okororie Hot Springs Hotel, where you can eat, drink, play golf, or take a hot swim. We are 30 mins from Cambridge, Rotorua, & Tauranga. Hobbiton is only 24kms, & Te Waihou Springs 12kms. Paddockwood is an ideal country location, 6kms from Tirau Village shops. Perfect if your here for the Fieldays. Come back to the warmth of the fire & evening meals can certainly be arranged as we love to cook. Enjoy the area or simply relax at Paddockwood. Paddockwood is a one level rambling home. It has been featured in The New Zealand House and Garden Magazine February 2017. There is plenty to do in the area if you wish, but Paddockwood is nice enough just to come and relax and unwind. Perfect for business travelers who wish to have something a but different from the regular motel. Ideal for Fieldays as you can come back to the warmth of the fire and have meals catered for as we love to cook. We hope to see you soon. There is a lovely terrace outside with a large table and chairs. It can be arranged that we light the fire for you, for you to sit outside and maybe have some vino in front of the fire. You also have a small table and chairs directly outside your room, should you wish to be outside but in a more private setting. You are served breakfast outside on the large table if it’s a lovely day, so you can take in the country view, but your also more than welcome to have it on a large table in our country kitchen- on a cold winters morning this would be by the fire inside too. There is a laundry should you need to use one. We like to leave you to your own devices if you wish. Some people are here to stay and learn how how we live here in New Zealand and others are here for some time out. We easily adapt to whatever your stay with us requires. The Okororie Hot Springs Hotel offers the hot spring swim at the cost of $16.00 At the hotel there is also a golf course and a pub. This is less than a kilometre away. There are also 8 golf courses within 30kms, if you wish to test your skills. There are lots of other eating places around the area. You will need your own transportation. There is ample parking should you be in a camper van or something like that. I DO HAVE TWO ROOMS AVAILABLE FOR RENT, ONE HAS A KING BED AND THE OTHER ROOM HAS A QUEEN. IF YOU ARE REQUESTING ONLY ONE ROOM, YOU WOULD ALWAYS BE GIVEN THE KING BED. I HAVE THE OTHER ROOM WITH ON ANOTHER LISTING. I ONLY LIKE TO RENT OUT THE TWO ROOMS ON THE SAME NIGHT TO THE ONE FAMILY, GROUP OR FRIENDS TO ENSURE PRIVACY WHILE YOU ARE HERE. A full cooked breakfast with fresh farm eggs is included in your nightly tariff. Evening meals can be served by arrangement. Main course and dessert $35 The local country pub less about 1km away, also offers great pub meals, and there are local eating places in small towns close by in Matamata, Cambridge or Tirau.
