Tastefully designed and decorated Perigord style tower in the Perigord natural park area of the Limousin, South - West France. Ideal for peaceful and romantic breaks. ENTIRE HOUSE The Tower Maisonnais-sur-Tardoire The Tower is owned by John who is english speaking and now semi-retired. The Tower is set in the gardens of the owner's house with beautiful views from the Juliet balcony of the mezzanine style bedroom Fench doors. Being nestled in the 'Perigord natural park' on the Haute Vienne and Dordogne border there are places to visit every day within easy driving distances on quiet and picturesque roads. An ideal location for walkers and wildlife lovers as there's no need to drive to a walking spot - they're right on the door step! Lots of great restaurants are close to hand with a supermarket, boulangeries and a tabac all available in the local Village of Saint Mathieu. Guest access The Tower has a fully fitted kitchen with Cooker, Micro-Wave, fridge/freezer, Toaster and Electric kettle all making self- catering easy should you wish to. Off the kitchen is a comfortable Lounge with Integrated DVD/Television which receives all the normal U.K stations. Stairs lead to a mezzanine style bedroom with French doors overlooking the woodlands and pastures beyond. The shower room is everything you'd wish for, with powerful shower, W.C and basin. All towels are provided along with Hair dryer. The French doors from the Lounge lead onto a patio area with it's Bistro table and chairs with private BBQ close by. To the side of the Tower is a large stone table and benches under the shade of some of the gardens trees for that perfect spot for out-door eating. The large gardens and drive provide ample off road parking. Wi-Fi is also provided for your convenience. Other things to note Only a 40 minute drive from Limoges airport which is serviced by Ryanair getting here is easy. We send full PDF directions from the airport and from Calais should you be driving down (Be aware though that being in the South-West of France it's a good 7 hour drive from Calais.) to all of our guests. The Tower is a separate unit, which leads out onto a private area. Around the other side of the property, there is a lawned area that is perfect for sunbathing, picnicking, or sitting out watching the sunset. John , will be available throughout your stay as required for advice/suggestions and will be happy to try and make your stay as enjoyable as possible, whilst respecting your needs for peacefulness and privacy. Maisonnais-sur-Tardoire is situated in the Haute-Vienne department and Limousin region (now part of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region), in the southern-centre of France at 46 kilometres from Limoges, the department capital ( Maisonnais-sur-Tardoire is 371 kilometres from Paris). Popular places to visit nearby include Rochechouart at 16 km and Nontron at 21 km.
