Beautiful Cumbrian townhouse in the Eden Valley
Located in the heart of the lovely market town of Kirkby Stephen, this property is as equally full of charm and beauty. 2 Central Buildings is spread over three floors, the kitchen/diner is on the ground floor, a spacious living room on the 1st floor complete with a wood burning stove and two mezzanine bedrooms on the top floor. Situated in the Upper Eden valley on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park and less than 45 minutes to the Lake district, it is perfect for exploring the North. The main bathroom on the first floor has a large walk in shower, bath and double sink. Bedroom 1 has an en-suite complete with shower. This bedroom has a sofa bed below the mezzanine floor. Bedroom 2 has a large wardrobe, a dressing table and a single sofa bed on the lower level. Tea, coffee, milk, biscuits and a bottle of wine will await you on arrival in addition to a selection of basic herbs and spices. Fuel for the woodburning stove in the sitting room is included in the price. There also is a small private garden with barbecue and seating. There is free street parking on a first come basis near the property. My partner Victoria and I live a couple of miles away and are easily contactable if needed. 2 Central buildings is within 5 minutes walk of open fields for walking. There are many walks accessible without driving either on open fell or nature reserve style footpaths. There are many quiet roads perfect for cycling. Kirkby Stephen has numerous pubs and cafes. There are late night grocery shops within 1 minute walk as well as a larger Coop 10 minutes walk away. For nature lovers red squirrels are often spotted in the area as well as wild parrots, deer and birds to name some of the wildlife that can be spotted. To the West the M6 is approximately 15 minutes drive from Kirkby Stephen. The A1 is 45 minutes away to the East. The West Coast railway line passes through Oxenholm and Penrith. There are buses from Kendal and Penrith. Kirkby Stephen train station is on the Settle to Carlisle line, one of the most spectacular railway lines in the UK and with easy links to Leeds.
