Château de Beauséjour

Do you want to live in a historic old fortress with three towers, a courtyard and partial moat, but with a lot of space, modern bathrooms, a Scandinavian kitchen, a huge garden, your own forest and a 15m swimming pool ? Then the Château is for you ! Able to very comfortably accommodate up to 9 people it is ideal for groups of family and/or friends. All the rooms are very spacious. Total seclusion is afforded as it is set in it's own grounds with no neighbours. Tranquility guaranteed ! The Château is developed from a fortress from the 13th century and has it own beautiful Chapel, suitable for weddings. Most spaces are available. One tower is reserved for the guardian. The Château has a Guardian, Charlie Thackway, who will take care of you during your stay. Beautiful old villages with romanesque churches and lively food markets; castles and monastries to visit at Bourdeille and Brantôme and many other places; lovely rivers for swimming and canoeing; lots of concerts and of course an abundance of nice French restaurants. There is an airport, Bergerac, 50 minutes away, with low-price flights to the UK, Belgium and the Netherlands. There is a TGV station, Angouleme, 55 minutes away (2 1/2 hours to Paris). We are new to AirBnb and therefore have no references here. But those that have visited us have been enthusiastic!
