Our new, self-catering suite boasts two queen-size bedrooms accommodating four people and gives you total privacy and seclusion as well as spectacular north facing views of Lake Macquarie from both bedrooms, lounge/dining area and private balcony. The large bathroom has a spa bath and open shower and separate toilet. Generous continental breakfast provisions are included in the tariff for the first two mornings and cooking facilities include a microwave, frypan, toaster and refrigerator. Tea and coffee facilities and supplies provided. We are close to the mountains, beaches and Hunter valley wineries. We take only one booking at a time so the B&B suite will be exclusively yours. The B&B is upstairs and we live downstairs. Please note this is a non-smoking environment inside and on the private balcony. Private lounge/dining area and balcony with flat screen TV, selection of videos and music CDs, free internet wifi. Kitchenette facilities. When you arrive please ring the front door bell. Exploring Wangi The Wangi Wangi peninsular is fringed by a 30 metre reserve providing the perfect environment for walking, exploring and fishing. Wangi Wangi Point located at the tip of the peninsular has a strong indigenous history and offers panoramic views of the Lake and Pulbah Island. A variety of walking trails have been developed in the Watagan National Park (30 minute drive) catering for those who wish to enjoy the scenery as well as more serious hiking. Water Sports Lake Macquarie offers a wide range of water activities for those wanting to relax and unwind or those wanting adventure. You can choose from deep sea fishing, jet boat riding and sailing. Arts & Crafts Dobell House, home and studio of Sir William Dobell is located in Wangi Wangi and is open to the public 1:00-4:00pm on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. Mandalong Gallery is famous for its authentic Aboriginal art focus. The Lake Macquarie City Art Gallery is home to local artists and offers many national touring exhibitions. A variety of markets are within easy access. Hunter Valley Vineyards "Best Tours" will pick you up from our door and provide a wonderful all day tour of the vineyards which includes lunch. Hunter Valley Gardens “Spanning over 60 acres, be amazed by the sensational sights, colours, and fragrances of the ten stunning feature gardens. Explore each garden one-by-one and enjoy an exciting journey through the thousands of flowers, trees, and shrubs with an air of discovery at every turn.” Public transport is not readily available. Off-street parking is available for one vehicle. Check-in is 2:00pm, check-out is 11:00am. Early check-in and late check-out can be arranged if available.
