Family & Pet-friendly Cottage with Stunning Views

Derwent cottage is a beautifully decorated three-bedroom cottage in the grounds of Stainsborough Hall. Recently renovated, the accommodation comprises an open-plan kitchen, dining and living area, three bedrooms and a bathroom (with a stand-alone bath and separate shower). One bedrooms is on the ground floor and can be configured with either single or double beds. Two bedrooms are on the first floor. These are attic bedrooms with lovely views and can be configured as single or double beds. We provide everything you'll need for a comfortable stay - Linens and towels are included - and we leave those little things you'll need - such as dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, bin bags, tea towels - in your cottage so you don't need to worry about bringing everything with you. The terrace at the back of the property overlooks stunning countryside and beautiful gardens and comes complete with a Webber BBQ and outdoor furniture. We welcome pets - and provide them with their own (darker) towels and welcome pack. We also have fenced fields for them to run around in! Derwent cottage is one of five cottages that we have on the property, but its sufficiently private for you to feel you are getting away from it all. We do have some communal facilities for you enjoy - such as the Games Room with a table tennis table and extensive DVD collection, a tennis court and a children's play area. From the cottage you can step straight out onto the many public footpaths that cross the Derbyshire countryside. You can walk directly from our land on the path around Carsington Water (ideal for walking and cycling), the nearest country pub is a 1 mile walk across the fields and you can walk to the market town of Wirksworth over the fields is less than 30 minutes. Before you arrive you will receive a comprehensive information pack detailing all the activities that you can do in the area. We also provide an online shopping service should you want to stock your cottage with local produce. And through our partnerships with local attractions, we can offer discount tickets to Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, The Heights of Abraham, Crich Tramway Museum and Matlock Farm Park.
