A beautiful country cottage set on a working farm in rural Monmouthshire about 6 miles from the market town of Abergavenny. Dating from the mid 1850's, this converted barn offers spacious accommodation which is tastefully furnished and decorated to a high standard. The property has gorgeous views over the rolling Welsh countryside and The Blorange. It is an ideal base from which to explore the area either on foot, by bycle or by car. Downstairs offers open plan living/dining/kitchen with a spacious downstairs bathroom with a large shower.The kitchen has a dishwasher, microwave, hob and oven, kettle, toaster and a fridge. A separate freezer can be found under the (Website hidden by Airbnb) there is a large master bedroom with an en-suite shower room. Two single beds can be used as a king size bed or if preferred as two singles. The second bedroom contains a double bed. There is plenty of storage space be it drawers or purpose built wardrobes which fit neatly into the eves of the property. Outside on the patio is a large wooden table and chairs which is an ideal place for sharing a bottle of wine as the sun sets. We live in the farmhouse and will be on hand if any assistance is needed. Y Bwthyn is located within striking distance of the Brecon Beacons, the Usk and Wye Valleys and the Forest of Dean. Cardiff is just 40 minutes away by car. There's a wealth of historic and cultural venues nearby and many excellent restaurants. In fact we have the village pub/restaurant at the end of our farm lane which offers delicious food if you don’t feel like cooking! As you are staying on a farm, it is only natural that you should expect to encounter the odd tractor/lorry and low level farm noises.
