Hibiscus House: comfortable house w. large garden

Spacious, ground-floor space with two breezy terraces and garden. Welcome to our home! This is where we stay when we are in Ghana, you will notice that the place has been completed in a certain style and to a high standard. The house is freshly decorated with furniture made by Ghanaian artisans from local materials. The space comprises a large, open-plan kitchen, dining and living area; double bedroom with new, Ashfoam mattress, walk-in wardrobe and ensuite bathroom; and separate guest bathroom. All electrical items are high-end and new (purchased March 2021) including the LG AC units throughout, Samsung American-style fridge and 4K LG television with Netflix & DSTV. Upper floors of the house are incomplete and not in use, so you have the entire garden to yourself! The property is secured by an electric fence and security bars on all windows. The house is located very close to Aburi tollbooth so you have access to the dual-carriageway into Accra and also to beautiful Aburi with it's famous botanical gardens! IMPORTANT LOCATION INFORMATION: This is not a city centre property. Outside of rush hour, travel time from the house to East Legon is approximately 30 minutes and to Osu it is approximately 40 minutes. Uber and Bolt are available in the area, there is typically a 15 minute wait. If you would like for us to arrange a car and driver, please message us. This is subject to availability and at the cost of the guest. The immediate area surrounding the house is residential and the property is located in a cul-de-sac with no through traffic. The area is relatively quiet for Accra with no loud bars or churches nearby. We enjoy sitting in the garden and listening to the birds! As is the case in most parts of Accra, there are sometimes building works going on nearby. There are local restaurants in the area, we can provide more information on these on request. Oyarifa Mall (walking distance or a short drive) has recently opened and has a supermarket, pharmacy and restaurant. There is also Peduase Valley Resort in Aburi which provides upscale dining including buffets at weekends, the hotel has a nice pool and pleasant grounds. Uber & Bolt are available in the area. Drinking water is provided throughout your stay. Back-up generator powers everything including the ACs. Wifi is also provided, the connection is generally fine, though it is not always sufficiently reliable for Zoom. The property has hot water in all sinks & showers. Laundry service is provided (guests do not have access to the laundry room) along with regular cleaning throughout your stay. The gardener comes two to three days per week.
