Twin Room, Lounge and bath

We are Janet and Paul, we live in our modern and contemporary town house. We have a private drive for one car and are less than ten mins walk from Sydenham station.We love the area, we have a thriving community here in SE26. We have a lovely twin room on the second floor with family bathroom and overhead rain shower. The bathroom is shared with the adjacent double bedroom. You also have use of the large sunny lounge with dining table and large Smart TV. Guests will have access to the lounge with access to the TV, fast WiFi and a large selection of books. There is a dining table here should you want to bring back a takeaway and the family kitchen is available for guests to make up a picnic. There will be Continental style breakfast Items for you to help yourself and guests can make a drink at any time. We will share the kitchen facilities with guests but in the main you won't see much of us, we have our own separate lounge and bathroom facilities. We will greet guests and then leave them to enjoy their space; but we're only one floor away and available by phone if we're not around. Our house is situated close to Sydenham High Street with restaurants including Gurkas Nepalese, Chinese, Italian, Fish and chip takeaway, coffee shops including Blue Mountain Cafe and the excellent gastro-pub The Dolphin. Also within walking distance is Forest Hill which has a new swimming pool and leisure centre, artisan shopping and cafes. In a different direction a 25 minute walk or 5 mins by car will bring you to the beautiful Crystal Palace park with its boating lakes, children's playground and famous life-size dinosaurs! Not forgetting the National Sports Centre. Outside the park discover the villagey feel of the Crystal Palace 'triangle of streets' which Lonely Planet listed as 'one of the top ten greatest little known neighbourhoods in the world' with many types of restaurant, bars and independent shops including vintage clothing, furniture and crafts. Great for browsing. I should also mention that we are a short drive/train ride from Crystal Palace Football Club, who at time of going to press are the only Premiership team in South London. We have CofE and Catholic churches within a five minute walk. Our house is less than a ten minute walk from Sydenham station with fast links to London Bridge and the east for Tate Modern / Borough Market / The Shard / Bermondsey / Canary Wharf / Shoreditch / Hoxton / Spitalfields Market / Brick Lane / Covent Garden etc. We also have an excellent bus service (including a night bus) to the west end and also south to Bromley and Croydon and buses which also take you to East Dulwich and Dulwich Village. Each morning we will provide help-yourself breakfast items including cereal, bread or bagels, tea, coffee and jam. Tea and coffee will be available throughout your stay and you can make drinks whenever you like. We know London, and this area especially well and can offer recommendations for bars and restaurants, travel information and directions. We also have a double room under our other listing which can be booked for family or friends together with the twin.
