Aderyn Mawr (entire cottage)
Spacious cottage located in the village of Blaina, South Wales, with stunning views across the valley. The Brecon Beacons are less than three miles away, and the Bleanavon Heritage Railway, Bike Park Wales, Zip World and SuperTubing Ebbw Vale are also nearby. There are two bedrooms (with travel cots), lounge/diner, fully fitted kitchen, family bathroom, downstairs toilet and a secure tiered patio area at the back. There is unlimited heating and Wifi throughout and the cottage is dog-friendly. Note that if you would prefer to bring your own linen and towels, please let us know and we will issue a refund of £30 (or £15 for just towels or just linen). However, for hygiene reasons, we cannot supply duvets without linen. The cottage is decorated in a bright, modern style, with a fully-fitted kitchen and a spacious lounge/diner downstairs with access via French doors to a tiered yard. Also downstairs is a toilet with hand basin. Upstairs there are two large bedrooms, as well as a bathroom with a bath (with overhead shower) and a second toilet. The master bedroom has a double bed, while the second bedroom has a triple sleeper bunk bed (which is a double bed with a single above) and a separate small double bed. (Airbnb doesn't have a "triple sleeper" option, so we've listed this room as a bunk with a double.) Up to two travel cots are available, as well as high chairs and toys. We accept up to two medium-sized dogs, and dog crates are available to hire free of charge. (Note that dogs must not be left unattended in the cottage or allowed on the furniture.) There is limited on-street parking to the front and rear of the property. Access to the front is quite flat, but if parking at the rear please note that there is a steep flight of steps down to the back of the house. The cottage can sleep up to six people and has reasonable access for people with disabilities, although please bear in mind that all bedrooms and the main bathroom are upstairs. You will have exclusive access to all areas, as owner does not live on site. The owner does not live on site, but lives nearby and will only disturb you if you need anything. Contact us by e-mail or phone if you need us – contact details will be provided. Blaina is situated close to the famous Brecon Beacons National Park, popular with walkers and cyclists for its dramatic scenery and challenging terrain. Venture further afield and you can visit the market town of Abergavenny to the east, or Caerphilly to the south - famous for its cheese and its impressive medieval castle. Or you can also explore Welsh history through a visit to Big Pit National Coal Museum, part of the Blaenavon Industrial Landscape which is a World Heritage Site. The Pontypool and Blaenavon Railway and Brecon Mountain Railway are nearby.
