Barleycorn near Bath

Just a 20 minute drive from Bath or Wells, Barleycorn Cottage is nestled in the Mendip Hills close to Bath. With parking outside your door, the cottage sleeps two people on a wonderful king sized bed. Barleycorn has an open plan kitchen/living room and a large, light, walk in shower room to complete the picture, not to mention underfloor heating throughout. Barleycorn offers excellent self catering holiday accommodation. It has an open plan kitchen/living area, large walk in shower room and bedroom with king sized bed. There is no garden with this property. You will have full access to the property from 4pm on the day of arrival until 10am on the day of departure. My husband and I live next door in the farmhouse and we also have other holiday lets on the farm so there is usually someone around if you have any queries. The farm is set in a stunning location with fantastic views across the Mendip Hills. Timsbury village is just one mile away with a café, fish&chip shop and chemist. Thre is also a useful Co-op which is open long hours 7 days a week. We are in the middle of a triangle made up of the cities of Bath, Bristol and Wells. Like many rural areas, public transport is not convenient for visiting many of the local attractions. We always recommend guests bring their own car to maximise their enjoyment of their holiday. Barleycorn is one of four holiday properties at Withy Mills Farm so you may have neighbours staying in the adjacent cottages. Withy Mills Farm is a working dairy farm so expect to see tractors, and farm animals at different times of the year. Most of the heavy farm work is carried out further away from the cottages so it need not affect your stay. We recommend guests have their own car to fully enjoy their stay as public transport is extremely limited.
