Soak up the deep peace, joyful birdsong, dark skies and glittering stars. Breathe deep the clear fresh air, taste the salt of the sea when the wind blows that way. Enjoy the company of your group in your own private secluded indoor and outdoor space, or book our other homes: the Woodland Yurt and the Rose Chalet for a larger gathering. (See my other listings). Contact us to enquire about adding a tent or extra camp-bed to your reservation. To keep our environmental footprint low, we ask you to bring your own towels and bedding - sheets, sleeping bags, pillows. If this is really not possible, we can sometimes provide towels and bedding at an extra charge of £12-£15 per person. Please contact us when booking to ask whether we can provide bedding for your stay. The Hilltop Yurt has its own special outdoor space with picnic table, and its own private, beautiful hand-made compost toilet with a clear roof so you can gaze up at the trees, and a hand-crafted wooden kitchen bench with sink and fresh drinking water tap. We provide 2 solar shower bags for the yurt, which you can fill with water and leave in the sunshine to warm up ready for a natural no-carbon outdoor shower experience, surrounded by trees. The best time for a warm shower is in the afternoon or early evening, before the bag cools down overnight. Alternatively, arrange to bring the shower bag to the house for us to fill up with hot water for your use if the skies are cloudy. Please only use the natural biodegradable washing up liquid, hand-soap and shower wash that we provide, as all water drains into the woods and we want to keep the plants and tress safe and free from chemicals, thankyou. We have our own sustainable fire-wood for you to use in the BBQ fire-baskets. Your first basket of wood is provided free. More wood can be purchased. You are welcome to bring your own camping stove, eating utensils, pots and pans. We can provide an evening experience of campfire in the Stone Circle or the North Wood, with foraged foods and toasted marshmallows, or a 1:1 session for Reiki, Holistic Massage, Voice-work or Creative Clean Coaching. We are happy to work with you to create a bespoke retreat, for example, with morning yoga, voice-workshops, creative activities, coaching, foraging, traditional hedgerow wine-and beer-making, or local guided visits. Contact us for bespoke creative wellbeing retreats, artist & writers residencies, and other kinds of occasion. We are equally happy for you to come and stay without needing our interaction! By foot, a short walk along footpaths over 3 fields, our closest treasure is the Potager gardens and cafe - fabulous high quality food served in a restored giant greenhouse, open Thursday to Sunday for advance bookings. Another mile and you will arrive in the village of Constantine with two local shops, one of which is famous for its enormous collection of whiskeys and spirits. The village has a church, school, doctor's surgery and community centre, pop-up food, and the popular creek-side pub at Trengilly Wartha. On-site parking.
