TJ's Beach House - walk to the main swimming beach

Relaxing and comfortable home. Ceiling fans in all bedrooms and lounge. Our property has recently been renovated to include timber floors throughout, a new kitchen and internal access to the new bathroom/toilet. Stunning ocean and beach views can be enjoyed from the front and rear decks. Off street parking is available. It is only a short walk to the shared pathway for a cycle, walk or run, 150m to the beach and 290m to the shops. Beach/rock/lake fishing are a short walk or drive away. Invite the sun into our open plan living areas by opening the curtains. You will be amazed at the ocean views and how close the patrolled swimming beach (December - January) is. You can even see whether it is high or low tide from the kitchen window. We have a new Bluetooth Sound Bar to play your music from your USB or phone and a DVD player which also plays CD's. The new rear deck has an outdoor setting and BBQ with ocean views to Montague Island. The front deck has a small setting to enjoy that early morning coffee or to sit back and enjoy the warmth of the sun while listening to the sound of the waves rolling up the beach. All bedrooms have new mattresses with clean linen and towels/face washers provided. There are remote controls for ceiling fans and lights.The new bathroom and toilet area includes a washing machine for your convenience. The kids have plenty of room to play a game of cricket or soccer on the unfenced grassy front yard. The local shops include: butcher, newsagent, hardware, liquor, cake, Sails takeaway, chemist, hairdresser and service station and a playground nearby. A Chinese restaurant and tavern are also in this complex. Restaurants close by are Lure Cafe, Tuross Head Country Club and Pickled Octopus. The Boat Shed is the place to go for fish and chips by the water. Tuross Head caters for everyone whether they love swimming or sunbaking, fishing, surfing, kayaking, paddle boarding, cycling, walking or having a game of tennis or a round of golf all within 5 minutes of the house. In the reserve close by are BBQ facilities and picnic tables and if you are keen to see a whale (July to November) you should not miss the short walk up to One Tree Point Lookout. Don't forget to take your camera if you would like to take photos of the sunrise or sunset and if you are lucky some local wildlife. Montague Island can be seen from the lookout to the south east- penguin and island charter tours are available from Narooma. Friendly Rainbow Lorikeets may drop in. They love to share a skinless apple cut into thin strips and will eat off your hand. We hope you will make a booking to enjoy our little piece of paradise. As our guest, you have access to the entire house. The house is your home away from home, please treat it as such. The house is a Smoke Free area however if you need to smoke please do so on the front or rear deck. Respect this privilege by placing butts into the ashtrays supplied and found under the sink. Kindly dispose of all butts in the bin prior to leaving and wash the ashtrays. Under no circumstances throw butts onto the lawn or any other part of the property. If you require assistance with anything we are only a phone call away. The local shopping centre, just a short 2 minute walk away, includes a Supermarket, Butcher, Cakes & Bakery, Newsagency, Lure Café, Chinese Restaurant, One Tree Inn, Post Office, Chemist, Petrol Station, Bottle Shop, Vet, Doctor, Takeaway and Hardware. A 5 minute drive to the lake will offer the Boatshed (boat hire and meals), The Pickled Octopus Restaurant and a children's playground. The Tern Inn Restaurant and the Tuross Country Club are also close by. Tuross can cater for most of your needs while on holidays within minutes of the house. Murrays Coaches offers transport from Canberra to the coast via Batemans Bay. The Tuross pick up and drop off point is at the shopping centre just a short 3-4 minute walk away. Lost keys will incur a $20 fee. Any damages must be reported to your hosts immediately. Minor breakages for example glasses or plates will normally not incur a fee, however serious breakages or damage must be paid for to compensate for repairs or replacement. Our per night fee is based on 5 guests. An additional fee of $15.00 per head per night will be charged for 6, 7 or 8 guests.
