Charming, rustic, Loire Valley home

Our two bedroom eighteenth century stable block is within a traditional walled courtyard and a stones throw from many of the Loire's wonderful Châteaux and other attractions. They contain important information such as our full address. The accommodation comprises: Sitting room with a three seater sofa bed, two easy chairs and a flame effect fire. Large kitchen / dining room. Cooking facilities consist of a gas hob and small fan assisted oven. Washing Machine. Two double bedrooms with a double bed in each. A fully sprung fold out single bed is available upon request. Shower room. A terrace with wooden bench, table and chairs. Ample secure parking. A DVD player but no television reception. A library of over 200 DVDs are available for our guests to enjoy. A selection of books and games. WiFi is available. A sprung fold out single bed is available upon request. We reside with our little terrier in the farm house opposite and are happy to dispense advice on day trips over an aperitif in the evenings or a coffee in the mornings. In addition guests are welcome to join us for an evening meal in return for a small donation to cover costs (please give 24 hours notice). 50 km south of Tours in a small hamlet we are in a prime position for taking in the best of the Touraine which offers a wealth of striking Château, historic towns and cities, Troglodyte villages, vineyards and wine tasting - and for the younger visitors Futuroscope and zoos.Our favourite town is Chinon, beautiful medieval architecture, lovely restaurants and only a thirty minute drive from the house. For art lovers our village hosts a wonderful exhibition starting in June of each year - the Pussifollies. Local artists spend a day painting 2x3mtr canvases which remain on display for the whole summer. Well worth a visit. (website hidden) Our nearest town is Dange St Romain which is five miles away. The motorway exit (A10) is nine miles away and there is a local train station two miles away. The TGV goes to Chatellerault and if you would like a trip to Paris it is an hour and a half by train. We would advise guests that their own transport is essential as there are no public services in this area.
