La Maison Soleil, nice accommodation

Very spacious and comfortable bedroom with private bathroom, at the first floor of the villa. Equipped with a double bed and a single one, it can accommodate until 3 adults or 2 adults + 1 child and a baby in a crib. The room is equipped with air conditioning, wifi connection, a mini fridge, a safe box and a kettle. La Maison Soleil is a high quality villa that lies in a quiet area, surrounded by a large garden, with a swimming pool reserved for the in-house guests. It is located at a walking distance (10 minutes by foot) from the center of the village. La Maison Soleil is an ideal base for visiting the fabulous east coast beaches and a starting point for the exploration of the whole Island. The respect of the environment is one of our priority. We have installed a solar water heater to make hot water, we separate all the solid waste, we make the compost and use it to grow our fruit trees. The rain water is collected to water the garden. We support the local community and invite our guests to experience the local food in the restaurants of the village or to have a dinner with a Mauritian family as well to buy products made by local artisans. Guests have access to the garden, the swimming pool and the pool house equipped with the sun loungers and the outside furniture. The parking is available in the property. Breakfast is not included, but available at reasonable cost. The host lives on site, and she is present to help and assist guests during their stay. Trou d'eau Douce is a picturesque village situated on the east coast of Mauritius, with its bay overlooking the crystal waters of the longest lagoon of the island and its stunning white sand beaches. In the recent years it has faced a good touristic development, although without losing the magical laid-back atmosphere of the fishing village it was at the real beginning. It is an ideal place for people who love relax, white sand beaches and want to discover the real way of living of the local people. The village hosts the following facilities: different kind of restaurants, pizzeria, souvenir shops, supermarkets, Atm machine, pharmacy, exchange office and post office. The well-known Ile aux Cerfs, with its breathtaking beaches and splendid lagoon waters, is just a short boat ride on the facing bay. The embarkation point is 15 minutes by foot from the house. Nearby the house, it is possible to reach also the most beautiful beaches of the east coast: Palmar beach at 3 km of distance, Belle Mare public beach at 7 km, and Trou d'eau Douce beach at 2 km. The bus stop is 200 m far from the house. By bus it is possible to reach the town of Flacq and the beach until Palmar. A good service of taxis is also available to reach any destination of the island. Flacq is the most important town of the district (10km far from Trou d’eau Douce) where you can find big supermarkets (Super U et Winners) shopping malls and banks. Twice a week, on Wednesday and Sunday, it hosts a local interesting market. From Flacq bus station it is possible to reach by bus the most important cities of the island. The airport is one hour drive, as well as the capital city Port Louis. Bras d'Eau National park is 20 minutes far by car. To visit in the area, the Hindu temple of Pointe de Flacq. Bus stop at 200 m. Car, scooter and bike rental La Maison Soleil has a regular license issued by the Mauritian Tourism Authority. Following the sanitary protocol against covid19, your room will be cleaned and fully disinfected before your arrival. Disinfection is also made in the common spaces. Smoking in not allowed in the room, but it is possible in all the outside areas. The water is heated by solar panels and the tank contains 330 liters of hot water. The temperature of it may vary according to the sun and of the season. While using air conditioning windows and doors must be closed to ensure the proper functioning of the same and to save energy. Energy and water are very precious resources and we recommend not to waste them. We are eco-friendly and try to impact the less of possible on the environment. You can cooperate for a clean environment separating plastic, beer cans, paper and fruit and vegetable waste from the rest of the trash. For your security and that of the whole house, the windows and the doors must be locked during the night and when you go out. We suggest you to put all your documents, credit card, cash or valuables in the safe box. The swimming pool can be used from 7 am to 9 pm. While using the pool, children must be supervised by an adult who is responsible of their safety. We decline any responsibility in case of accident. Thanks for your cooperation.
