Zen Smallwood Cabin Pets Welcome Near Bethel Woods

Our Zen Smallwood cabin is Fresh and Uncomplicated. Walk in & leave all of your worries behind. There's a peaceful energy that will help you unwind and recharge. Plenty of space to bring your family for a relaxing family get together, or bring your significant other for a tranquil, romantic getaway. We have a meditation room to assist you in reducing stress & anxiety or you can contemplate the nature that surrounds you. New for the 2022 season 32” Smart TV with RoKu! Our space is quietly decorated to enable you to relax to your fullest. We have a full size kitchen with all of the amenities for your cooking pleasure. We have 3 bedrooms for you to choose from, one with a queen size bed and the other two with full size beds. We have a wood burning stove for those chilly Catskill evenings as well as a whole house heater. If you’re not comfortable using the wood burning stove, the heater warms the space very adequately. In the summer there is an air conditioning unit in the master bedroom and fans in all of the bedrooms as well as a ceiling fan in the kitchen. We have a meditation room with an area for comfortable meditation as well as two yoga mats, yoga blocks and a singing bowl. We have a cozy deck with a small bistro set and a side patio with a table, four chairs and umbrella. There are Adirondack chairs to lounge on in the yard as well as a fire pit with an optional grill rack. There is enough room in the house for holiday get togethers. The kitchen is great for cooking family meals. Sit by the wood burning stove and tell family stories, read books to the kids or sip a hot toddy. Guests have sole access to the entire cabin and grounds. The front door is no longer in use, so guests enter and exit via the side door, located on Brookside Way, which is accessed via a small deck. There is enough space to allow two cars to park. These spaces are in front of the garage. The garage is not for guest use. Pets are allowed with a $40 flat fee. I will communicate with guests via the Airbnb app. I like to give guests their space, so check in and out is done via a lock box. I live in Smallwood also, so if anything is needed, I am only five minutes away. We are 6 miles from Bethel Woods Center for the Arts and Museum. We are a 15 minute drive from Resorts World Catskillls Casino. In Sullivan County, we have many beautiful nature trails for hiking. (Website hidden by Airbnb) has great information on the Sullivan County trails. In Smallwood, we have a nature reserve and plenty of neighborhood walking including a nice easy walk around our Mountain Lake. Smallwood is also the site of the Town Of Bethel Dog Park. Although we do live in the western Catskills, Smallwood is a neighborhood where there are other homes and cabins. We are not secluded. If you like water fun, we have the Toronto Reservoir with a public boat access about a ten minute drive away, or gorgeous Lake Superior State Park about a 15 minute drive away. I highly recommend swimming at Lake Superior State Park. It is quite beautiful, is super clean and there is plenty of parking during the busy summer season. The Kartrite indoor water Park is also a 15 minute drive away. There is the Prohibition distillery in Roscoe. Sullivan County has multiple breweries and we have the Wine and Beer Festivals at Bethel Woods in the Spring and fall as well as the wonderful concerts at Bethel Woods. The area also boasts numerous farmers markets and fresh produce. There is plenty of local antiquing and a local flea market in operation Memorial Weekend through Columbus Weekend. The food scene is wonderful with great restaurants in Kauneonga Lake, as well as in Livingston Manor, Callicoon, Monticello and Narrowsburg. You need a car to get around. Uber and Lyft are basically non existent here, hopefully that will soon change. There are local taxi companies, but they are not cheap, I would be happy to give you contact info. If you are attending a concert at Bethel Woods, your best bet is to have a designated driver. If you are flying into Sullivan County Airport, you can make prior arrangements to have a rental car waiting for you when you land. Walking around Smallwood is the best way to enjoy it...the streets turn into other street names, which turn into other roads which turn into trails...getting lost in Smallwood is a right of passage. When you are not running in and out and plan to stay in the cabin for awhile, we ask that you remove your shoes while you are inside. The cabin has a well that does sometimes have rusty colored water. If you let the water run a bit, it usually dissipates, the water has been tested and is drinkable. The toilet has rust stains due to this as (Website hidden by Airbnb) is not dirty, it’s just rust stains that can’t be removed. Pets are allowed with a flat fee of $40 for up to 3 pets. After you book, a service fee request will be sent separately for the $40 pet fee. Please pay this prior to your arrival. There is an outdoor fire pit that can also be used as a grill. If using it as a grill, please use foil on the rack before placing your food on it to cook. This will allow our vegan friends to utilize the grill as well. The cleaning fee of $95 encompasses two main expenses. 1. We do not live on premise and employ a cleaning person. GOOD cleaning help is hard to find up here and we and most guests so far agree that the cleaning person we have for this 3 bedroom space does a wonderful job. We want to keep her coming back and her expertise does not come cheap. 2. There is not a washer and dryer on premise. We have to take our laundry to an outside establishment. They charge us by the pound. We are giving you a choice on how you want to to handle the garbage. Unlike NYC, we do not have free garbage and recycling removal. We have to take it to the town dump and pay a certain amount per bag. ****If you’re comfortable taking your garbage and recycling home with you when you leave, you can choose that option. Or, we will get rid of the garbage and recycling for you for a flat fee of $20 for stays up to one week. Please let us know your decision on garbage removal prior to your arrival. If you choose to do the $20 garbage removal fee, I will send a service fee request prior to your arrival and I will set out the outside garbage pails for your use. If you stay for more than a week, the $20 fee would be on a weekly basis. So if you stay up to two weeks, the garbage fee would be $40, up to 3 weeks, it would be $60, and so on.****
