The Barn Escape

'The Barn' is a large unique, self-contained, rustic escape set on bush acreage with abundant wildlife and stunning surroundings. If you are looking for a romantic getaway or an escape away from your busy schedules, maybe even a group of friends or family wanting to visit local attractions and wineries the barn is a perfect place to go. Sit back & enjoy the views from the private deck or relax inside by the fire with a glass of local wine or a warm cuppa. BEFORE BOOKING PLEASE READ HOUSE RULES With the use of reclaimed timbers and building materials we were able to create a unique & comfortable place for everyone to enjoy. The Barn Escape is on a shared property. The barn was built close to the main residence but has been designed to be completely private and separate. It is self contained with plenty of parking and a private landscaped yard and pathway to the entrance. On your arrival, access to the barn is through a combination key-safe, making your stay easy and relaxed. There are many local wineries within short distance as well as cafes and restaurants which serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Kangaroo Ground Memorial Tower is definitely worth a look. The St.Andrews Market is open every Saturday morning from 9am-2pm. We are a 15 minute drive to Yarra Glen, where you can visit the chocolaterie and many more world class wineries and vineyards. The popular Yarra Glen Market is the 1st Sunday of each Month, (except July, August and January) Alternatively, you could drive a bit further through the beautiful country side to enjoy the delights of Healesville Sanctuary. * Melbourne CBD is approximately 45 minutes. * Melbourne Airport - 35 minutes. * General Store - 5 Minutes. * Yarra Glen - 15 Minutes. * Nearest Train Station-Wattle Glen (7 minute drive) If you're feeling energetic, take to one of the many peaceful walking trails right outside the doorstep, and experience the amazing bush-land and scenery the beautiful Kangaroo Ground has to offer. - Please note: There is a shared driveway, and during weekdays cars are more than likely to be leaving early in the morning for work. - No children or infants due to steep stairs and woodfire. -Owners of the property are often working doing maintenance but are very conscious of your privacy. - Feel free to walk around the property and sit in the chair at the top of the drive and enjoy the views. - Upstairs in the cosy loft, you will find a queen and king single bed connected by a walkway. At the end of the loft there is another room with queen bed.
