What guests value about staying here is the peaceful location and tranquility of country life. Space to breathe and choose your own pace. Guests from across the spectrum of society come and enjoy our modernised, stone farm buildings. From workers, to students, to families and international travellers we have enjoyed meeting many global and local travellers who have rested, recharged and refuelled in their own unique ways. This is a lovely spacious double suite, upgraded since Airbnb photographs taken. The room is set up with a double bed and a single bed and still with space. En suite shower room with powerful shower with mains water pressure. Living space with sofa,small dining table, fridge, microwave, tv etc.This room has open countryside views and is very private. Decorated to high standard throughout. This is a private suite at the end of the west wing of the property and is accessed through a door from the courtyard. There is a large garden area to the rear of the property and guests are able to use this area as well as the courtyard. There is parking available for many cars and we have an electric charging pod if required. The local bus park and ride to the city at Hermiston is 1 mile away. The tram and train into the city is from Edinburgh Park and is about 2 miles away, where the nearest shops are located. Our ability to interact with guests depends on our other work commitments but since we live at Addiston Mains full time there is usually someone not to far away to help if required. We often offer guests lifts to the bus/tram or airport when able to. Addiston Mains is in a unique position in that we are a couple of miles from the airport but away from the flight path. Approx 5 miles into the city centre with good bus and tram links near by. It is and old farm with the relaxed feel of home. There are 2 park and rides near by. Ingliston and Hermiston which both offer free parking and easy access into the city. Curriehill and Edinburgh Park train stations are also nearby. The Uion canal makes walking a safe and enjoyable option. The house lies on the edge of the A71 one of the main access roads into the city and the links to other major roads like A720, M8,M9 are all within a few minutes drive. We do have dogs that are very people friendly, however we are happy to keep them away if guests prefer not to interact with them.
