The house makes an excellent touring base; many of Finistere's most popular resorts are within easy reach, such as Concarneau with its 'ville close' (23km) and Benodet with its lovely beaches and casino (28km). There are 2 excellent golf courses at Fouesnant, as well as many other opportunities and facilities to try many watersports. Quimper, the regional capital, with cobbled streets, half timbered houses, cathedral and picturesque riverside setting is close enough to try one of its excellent restaurants in the evening.
