The coolest Cornish Beach House

Rare chance to rent the holiday home of a leading Elle Decoration interiors stylist, recently completely refurbished to a very high standard in a contemporary beach boutique style on the North Cornwall coast in England. Just a 5 minute walk from a stunning surf beach and the coast path, down a quiet country lane in quarter of an acre of secluded gardens. Sleeps 8/9 in 4 bedrooms so ideal for one or two families sharing or surf groups who want something a bit different. 3.5 hour drive from London so ideal for weekends. All of house and garden Sadly the garden train-set has rusted and it's really usable as it was but enough to spark imaginations. Via txt, email and phone as required. Quiet country lane. 5 mins walk to beach over dunes. Please speak to our neighbours - Stan with his tractor collection, John who runs up and down the beach with a big red and black flag or the new couple, who just had a lovely little baby. They are all wonderful and welcoming people. Be sure to get to the chip van at the end of the road for 6.15pm Fri evening and you'll know everyone and feel like you've lived there all your life. Regular coast route bus at end of road. COVID 19 STATEMENT RE RENTS, ACCESS AND CLEANING As freelance creatives and charity workers our income was precarious already and as good as disappeared with the virus/lock down along with rental income from this house so we have had to raise our rents to what might be eye watering amounts to some, and similar to what others might pay for foreign holidays but not want to fly at this time. We are obviously wary of being seen as opportunists and if you see us as such please do not enquire/book, in fact it's best if you only do so if you can afford it as we really are doing this in the best faith and do not want bad reviews especially for poor value for money. We have struggled to do the maintenance work we wanted to with lock down and the weather so some of the out buildings need some work but that won't affect your stay. Bottom line: The house is lovely. We get great reviews from guests Believe us it breaks our heart to rent it at all as we were stuck in London for Lock down. Health and safety of our guests and cleaners is our paramount concern. We are following AirBnB's guidelines as best we can and ask guests to open all windows and depart by 9am on check out day having stripped all beds and towels into bin liners to minimise contact for the cleaners. The house will then be left for 3 hours before cleaners can go in who will then clean and sanitise the house for which we are giving them extra time. Check in time will therefore be 6pm (not 3pm as advertised) We have removed all toys, secured games cupboard and removed some objects but did not want to strip the house and take its charm away nor remove all kitchen utensils We will leave the dishwasher after a hot wash with a full place setting and basic cooking items to leave items you can confidently use and recommend yo leave other times for 3 days or wash/sanitise them as you go and hope this works for you. PLEASE NOTE: The wood burner is out of use at the moment, as is the garden railway. In peak periods like school holidays and either side of the summer hols we rent full weeks only and have a Friday changeover. That means we can use the house for weekends occasionally, travelling down on a Fri evening and back Sun eve and kids sleep in car there and back. It can also work for you. Get the Friday off work or go after work or in the evening. Miss the horrible Saturday rush and wake up on holiday.
