There is a taxi rank at the well-connected train station, or download the app "Arrow Taxi Group" We have a well connected train station and taxi rank. If arriving by train, you will need to get a taxi from the station, it's approx. a five minute taxi ride. I would suggest booking the taxi in advance, although the taxi rank is in the station it can get busy, especially on a Friday evening! The taxi rank is called 'Angmering Station Taxis' (ask to be dropped off at St.Margarets church, Angmering and call me on arrival). Taxis I advise booking in advance to avoid disappointment! •Angmering Station taxis •Castle cars (Arundel) Distances (see map in manual for orientation) •Angmering station to Providence – 0.9 miles or a 4 minute drive •Driving to Arundel – 12 mins •Driving to Brighton – 40 mins •Driving to Chichester – 28 mins •Train to Brighton – 30 mins •Train to Chichester – 18 mins Alternatively there are buses to get around, see timetable online or the timetables in the cottage. If you're coming down from London a great lunch stop 30 minutes from here is The Horseguards in Tillington (pre-book), Petworth House, a historic house and deer park, a market town with antique shops. Arundel is a great place to go on a Friday and Saturday evening, there are plenty of places to eat and drink, it's a 12 minute approx. taxi ride; at a cost of approx. £12 each-way, retuning is slightly more expensive due to the one way system. If you want to go into Brighton for the day/evening you can check the train times online The beach • East Preston our nearest beach - 1.6 miles. Check tide times - at low tide it is sandy and good for walking, high tide for swimming There are some sweet cafes too. •East Beach café @ littlehampton beach (sand and dunes at West beach – 2.8 miles •Blue Bird café at Ferring beach (stones, sand when tides out, and a grassy walkway linking to East Preston) – 2.3 miles •Climping beach and Bailiffs court Spa/hotel (stones, sand when tides out) – 4.6 miles Walks I have enclosed several walk books, OS maps and walking routes for your use in the cottage, but please return them after use.
