The Secret Cabin

A friendly welcome awaits you at the Cabin. Set in the North Wiltshire countryside, with locked off road parking, at the end of a mile long gated drive. A wooden cabin with large living room/kitchen, separate bedroom w ensuite and a deck for eating al fresco! A secluded haven set aside on our working farm to rest and rejuvenate over looking fields, surrounding woodland and up to the Marlborough downs. Easy access to M4 and Bath. Peace and tranquillity, a mile from the village away from everything along a private lane with long reaching farmland views. The cabin is a cosy haven offering a perfect get away. The cabin is entirely yours for your visit with a private deck, lawn and a small garden. Any problem we are usually available at the end of the phone and can be there within minutes. You are welcome to walk along the lime avenue and lane and there are numerous walks nearby. Our favourite is via Long Dean down to Castle Combe where there is the choice of 2 pubs or a hotel for a variety of sustenance. By foot or car, there is a bus, sometimes! Whilst it is a working farm there are no milking cows coming in at 5 am! You may hear sheep, cows or horses in the distance or the odd fox bark but most people sleep amazingly well here. No animals are allowed inside the cabin but there is a cat who lives on the farm and will most likely visit. He is not allowed inside but I think some guests have allowed this so now we ask that he stay outside (to help those with allergies) and hope this discourages the visit! Most animals are nowhere near the cabin however we do have plenty of animals! If you are allergic to cats or any animals it may be best to choose elsewhere much though we would love you to visit! Being a log cabin and in the middle of the country, there are insects including spiders. Whilst we remove cobwebs regulalry spiders also rather like the Secret Cabin, they do keep the insect numbers down but may escape our beady eyes. The Secret Cabin is very well appointed including a Morphy Richards coffee machine (bring ground coffee) a juicer, and a microwave as well as gas hob and oven. We also have a small freezer and whashing machine on site. The wifi is spasmodic but we do have good 4G. There is a strict no smoking rule inside and outside the cabin. To keep our home private we do not allow guests of our guests at any time without prior permission.
