Sea and Sunset view family Villa

A beautiful house on 2 levels in the heart of the Cyclades. Its large terraces afford a stunning view of the Aegean, a panoramic view of the Kamares bay and beach and a beautiful views of the sunset! The house is fully equipped and kids safe. Sifnos island and especially the port of Kamares are not only exquisite but also still maintain a low, unhurried profile, within a human scale! Small wonder that the famous architect Le Corbusier, was inspired by the Cycladic Islands! The house belongs to a complex of three completely independent houses and is surrounded by beautiful vegetation. It was built in the 80's as a summer house by my father and my cousin, both architect engineers. We are Athenians but our family hails from Sifnos, from way back. All through the years we have maintained our strong bond with and love for the island. The house is built to a local scale, exclusively with Sifnian materials and is certainly pervaded by the Cycladic spirit! As an architect myself, I have ensured that the renovations through the years are in line to that end. The house interior is simply decorated in white, tones of blue and wood. An artistic touch is added by some antique pieces and several silk screen printings by renown Greek painters. Features: - The verandas around the house are completely secured with a 1m high white fence for the safety of children. The main veranda is renovated with short glass windscreens all around, reaching to 1.30m from the veranda floor. - Ample living room with dining area and adjoining terrace with breakfast area are situated on the upper level and offer great privacy. - West-facing main terrace with gorgeous views to the sea (sunset on the sea!!!). - Bedrooms and bathrooms are on the first level. Each of the three bedrooms has convenient storage and its own small terrace. Two of the bedrooms have a sea view. - State-of-the-art kitchen.The kitchen is fully equipped (fridge, ceramic kitchen, oven, dishwasher, nespresso machine, filter coffee machine, orange juicer, mixer, microwave and even a Kenwood Juicer). - Newly refurbished interior. - Air-conditioning in all rooms. - 2 parking spaces. - Use of the back yard which ample space for children to play and shaded from the afternoon onwards. - If you have babies, we can provide daybed, baby bed, nursery, baby bathtub, high chairs, stroller, small chairs and table for drawin,g as well as the 2 safety doors for the internal staircase. The house is located in the most sought-after part of Kamares. It is surrounded by other villas with gardens and occupied by quiet Greek families. Walking distances: Kamares beach approx. 5-10 minutes Small isolated beach. 4 minutes Shops: approx. 5 minutes Restaurants: approx. 5 minutes Port of Sifnos approx. 3 minutes Car rentals, buses and taxes are available at Kamares. Appollonia (the main village of Sifnos) is 5km away on the mountain and the longest route (to Cheronissos beach port) is 17km approx. + Sifnos is also the no1 hiking destination in Greece according to THE TIMES (UK)!
