A House for All Seasons

A family house built in traditional architecture at 650 m altitude in the village Agios Lavrentis, Mount Pelio. The house is built in a plot of 1200 msq and is surrounded by a beautiful garden. Unlimited view to the village and the Pagassitikos bay. The house has 225 m2 total inside residence area. At the ground level it has an open kitchen with dinning and sitting area, one bedroom and a bathroom. From this level, there are four outside doors, leading directly to the garden, the front terrace and the belvedere. The main living room is an open area with four discrete spaces: The kitchen, the big dining table, the secondary table for breakfast / reading / computer / tabletop games etc. and the sitting space with sofas for up to 10 people, fireplace and TV/Video. The ground floor bedroom 1 has one double bed (separable, if desired) and an outside door for direct access to the front terrace and the garden. The room is served by the ground floor bathroom. On the first floor there are three bedrooms, sharing one bathroom. Bedroom 2 has one double bed and a small private balcony. Bedroom 3 has one double bed, a table and space for up to two extra folding beds. Bedroom 4 has two single beds. The whole plot and its facilities are privately available to our guests. When the weather permits (from April to October this is possible 90% of the time) most of the indoor activities can take place outside at the garden, the terrace and the belvedere. We welcome our guests at Volos and guide them to the house. After showing the house and answer all their questions we explain the alternatives they have during their stay. We show them the highlights of the area. During your stay we shall be permanently in contact through phone and internet and ready to assist in any way. If necessary, we can have a discrete personal presense. The house is positioned in a plot of 1200 m2 at the outskirts of the village. The spot is quiet, as the village center (plateia) is at about 8 minutes distance, walking on the beautiful kalderimia of the village. The village of Agios Lavrentis has four taverns and restaurants, four kafes, a grocery, a green grocery and a bakery. The location (and the house) is also an ideal place for relaxation and intellectual work. How to come to Agios Lavrentis: The city of Volos is at the following distances from the nearest international airports: Volos at 22 km, Thessaloniki at 230 km, Athens at 330 km. Agios Lavrentis is 22 km from Volos. There are frequent bus connections to Volos from most main cities of Greece Buses run from Volos to Agios Lavrentis twice daily (morning and noon). Taxi possibility is available from Agria (13 km) and Volos (22 km). Car Rental is possible at the Airports and at the City of Volos. In the plot there is parking space available for up to 3 cars; However it takes some skill to drive the car inside. Public parking space is normally available at less than 50 meters from the gate.
