The House dates back to the 15th century and once belonged to a noble family, during the restoration, which was overseen by the owner and architect Roberto,original frescoes dating back to that period, were discovered and restored. The elegant ambience, features a large stone fireplace, exposed chestnut beams, a mix of antique, classic and modern furniture. An outdoor terrace with stunning views of terra cotto rooftops and the olive clad Sabine hills. The comfortable sitting room space is large enough to meet for critiques, and the large dinning room on the upper floor is open and light with views from every window.There are 7 en suite bedrooms some of which can be twin or triple sleeping 16 comfortably. Guests can hire the whole venue The house is full of books and works of art. there are CDs and TV as well as free wifi.The parking area is below the village but we can arrange for luggage transfers to La Torretta La Torretta is a family home and we are always present either on the premises or nearby and enjoy meeting our guests and offering them suggestions, restaurant recommendations ,hospitality and help in all fields if needed. Our guests love the beauty of the landscape the peace of the Sabine hills, the quality of the local olive oil, the nearness to the city of Rome, the delight in being in a local community with no large tour groups, the friendliness of the people. They can also access a very nice club at just 1 km from the village wth open air swimming pool and tennis courts There are busses to a local station where there are trains to Rome city, Rome airport and easy connections to the line for Florence. There is a large free parking just outside the village walls which everybody uses as the village itself is totally pedestrian. If booked ahead we can organise cooking classes and wine and olive oil tastings, provide a chef, organize excursions, prepare and serve special dinners.
