Our house is newly built, and architecturally designed to capture the New Zealand beach holiday vibe. With a large deck that overlooks Oakura beach which is only a very short stroll away.The cul de sac street the house is in is very quiet & peaceful. There is free off street parking. The large kitchen is a joy for creating culinary masterpieces to enjoy on the deck overlooking the beach. This is a house filled with natural light, sea breezes & character, which just begs you to unwind and relax. Our 198 square meter house has a generous open plan living area. It is divided into 3 areas surrounding the kitchen so there are separate spaces for your activities. There is a barbecue in a sunken area to protect you from the evening breeze. The whole of the house & section, but not the garage I will be available for questions via phone & if the guests need to be meet & shown through the house I am able to do so. Otherwise there is a key lock box. Oakura is a very laid back seaside village with several great eateries, a small well stocked supermarket, a petrol station, a couple of craft shops and a smattering of artists and artisans in the surrounding area. Oakura sits at the foot of the Kaitake Ranges, which is laced with walking tracks, and offers protection to the village from the cold southerly winds. The black sand beach is a well known surf and swimming beach, perfect for playing in through the summer, or rugging up for long invigorating walks in the winter. The beautiful Kaitake golf course is one of Taranaki's nineteen courses & welcomes visiting players. New Plymouth is a 10 minute drive north of Oakura. This is a beautiful part of New Zealand. It is well worth basing yourselves here to enjoy peace & relaxation. You will be spoiled for choice with the numerous attractions and activities on offer. There is a city link bus that runs between Oakura & New Plymouth, all you need to do is flag down the bus anywhere on Messenger Tce. The rest of Oakura village is very doable by walking. A car is a good idea if you want to explore the beautiful Taranaki region.
