Stylish, tranquil & CLOSE TO COAST! Our sunny ground-floor garden-flat in rural Rhoscolyn is both self-contained & en-suite. Inc. private entrance & on site parking. 15 mins walk from Rhoscolyn Beach & The White Eagle pub; 5 from the Coastal Path. Includes use of shared garden area and outdoor seating. Gorgeous country views and wonderful walks in all directions! 10 mins drive/less than an hour’s walk from Trearddur Bay. Pets welcome for an extra fee*. Hot tub available for an extra fee* *HOT TUB We have a brand new hot tub available for our Ty Cert guests that’s literally a hop, skip and jump away from the room! Set in a secluded area of the garden it’s perfect for some downtime after a day of walking or water sports! Being partially covered means you get to enjoy the fresh air & warm bubbles whilst still protected from all but the worst of the Welsh weather! It’s located in a pretty little garden-grotto festooned with fairy-lights & decorative nicknacks - and we use eco-friendly products instead of chlorine, which is safer and smells/feels much nicer too! Oh, and we provide extra towels, robes & washable slippers etc. Adding the hot tub to your booking will cost: £60 total for 2 nights £85 total for 3 nights £110 total for 4 nights £130 total for 5 nights £145 total for 6 nights £160 total for 7 nights To pay for the hot tub you can: - have it added to your Airbnb invoice - you can pay in cash whilst you’re here - or you can go to our other Airbnb advert that includes the hot tub in the price. The price includes: the electricity, cleaning, filling, filtration, eco-friendly water-treatment products, extra towels, robes & washable slippers etc - as well as the time it takes to do all this and keep the surrounding area looking pretty! 😊 *PETS We welcome pets for an extra fee. If you’re only bringing 1 dog you must add this fee online by following the instructions. However, if you plan on bringing more than 1 you’ll need to pay an extra £15 per pet per stay. This can be paid in cash whilst you’re here. Maximum 3 x medium sized dogs or x 2 large dogs. Please let us know if you plan on bringing your pets before your arrival. Many thanks. THE ACCOMMODATION: Ty Cert is a pretty seaside inspired double room - and part of a charming Grade II listed property. It has gorgeous countryside & garden views, an en-suite WC with power-shower, a sofa and kitchenette area. Tri-folding doors give you a large private entrance - plus access to the shared garden*. There's a TV and (good) WiFi connection available as well. The kitchenette area includes a sink, kettle, toaster, fridge (with mini freezer), microwave, mini convection oven - as well as crockery, utensils and cooking pans etc: basically everything you'd need for a stress-free stay. We have extra room in another freezer if needed. Important! Bedding & towels are provided - however, for the foreseeable future, we’re asking our guests to strip the bed - and to put the towels and linen in a bag provided before departing. Many thanks. Hand-soap, washing-up liquid, loo-roll, tea, coffee and sugar etc will all be provided too - but those staying longer might need to bring extra supplies. Please be aware that some local shops, pubs & cafes may well still be closed, or have limited tables - so booking in advance is recommended. Organising a supermarket delivery to the accommodation is fine. We can give you the full address once you’ve booked. *There’s a seating area outside your room which is exclusively for you - and you’re welcome to use the picnic-table in the ‘top’-garden and decked area too. Please be aware that we live on site and sometimes have to walk past your room on the outside. Also, that there may well be guests in our other on site rental too (although they have a separate outdoor area) - but even so, every precaution needs to be taken in regards to keeping us all safe & apart. For example, children & pets must be under adult supervision at all times - and social distancing needs adhered to in the outdoor areas. Access to the on site parking area and part of the shared garden. We live next door in the adjoining property, so are available most of the time. However, during these difficult times we’ll keep our distance as much as possible. We're usually also able to give lots of local recommendations - but please be aware that due to the pandemic opening times may have changed. Rhoscolyn is located in designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty! Not only is the 'main beach' (Rhoscolyn/Borth Wen) an absolute delight, but Silver Bay (to the south) is even more secluded - and a treat to walk to - as is rocky Porth Saint to the north! With lots of other little coves to explore between the two - as well as on the way to nearby Trearddur Bay - kids, nature-lovers, adventurers, sporty-types, walkers - as well as romantics - will absolutely LOVE it here! Situated on Holy Island (just off the island of Anglesey), Rhoscolyn is a small scattered community - and the most southerly 'village' in the area. There are no shops but this only adds to its loveliness! The closest are about 2 miles away in Trearddur - with the supermarkets being about 4 miles away in in Holyhead. However, as well a there being lots of beaches, bays and headland walks on offer in the Rhoscolyn area - it also has an excellent pub (The White Eagle) - which is a (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) minute walk (on the lane down to the beach) from Ty Cert. Renowned for its gastro food, and with gorgeous sea-views from the decking area, they welcome both kids and dogs! Owing to its sheltered position and large, gently sloping sands, the main bay makes it an ideal place for sailing, kayaking, canoeing, swimming, fishing, rock-pooling - and more - and is therefore a popular family (as well as romantic) destination throughout the year. Excellent headland and cliff-top walks can be enjoyed in both directions from the main beach, as well as through the beautiful local countryside - where an abundance of bird and wildlife can be seen, often including seals! The nearby resort of Trearddur Bay - situated a (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) minute walk away (depending on the route) is great for those after a little more bustle. Although it only takes 10 minutes to drive there - the walk, with its sweep of low grassy coastline indented with rocky coves - is the best way to arrive! Trearddur also has a number of beautiful beaches to enjoy, including Trearddur Bay itself - but also Porth Diana, Porth Castel, Porth-y-post, and Porth Dafarch! There are some small shops, as well as a choice of pubs, and restaurants in Trearddur Bay - and nearby Holyhead offers a wider range of amenities, including a leisure centre, supermarkets, harbour front, marina - and the world’s second longest breakwater! On Anglesey, water-sports including: swimming, sailing, surfing, kite-surfing, paddle-boarding, kayaking, canoeing, water-skiing, and windsurfing are the main attraction - as well as walking, and horse riding. Plus, golfers will enjoy the excellent Holyhead 18 hole golf course. It's also a great place for nature lovers - with renowned bird-watching at the South Stack Lighthouse RSPB Reserve as well as at loads of other spots. We are located approximately a 15 - 20 minute DRIVE away from Holyhead train station & ferry port. There are numerous taxis available from Holyhead train station/ferry port; they congregate when trains are due in, so you'll rarely find it difficult to find one. It costs between £15 - £20 to get from Holyhead to Ty Capel, Rhoscolyn. Local Taxi Numbers: •Cybi Taxis (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) Taxis (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) •Alpha Taxis (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) •BJWs Taxis (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) •Mark’s Taxis (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) •Dragon Cabs (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) The Number 23 'Goodsir bus' stops right outside our property 3 x a day: (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) - it passes various bus-stops in Rhoscolyn, Four-mile-bridge, Trearddur and Holyhead, including Tesco and the train station/ferry port. You can also get to our place (Rhoscolyn Capel Ty'n Rhos) from various bus-stops in Holyhead - including from the train station/ferry port. Please check the online timetable for more information. Being part of the main property there is a little noise transference between Ty Cert and our house next door. Nothing major, but the floor-joists in this Grade II building mean we can never get rid of it completely. We are alway sensitive to this and ask the same in return! Again, being part of a Grade II property near the coast, do expect a little damp here & there. We often leave a dehumidifier in the room during the winter months - but turn it off whenever you like. Please stop the bed before departing. There’s a laundry bag for the used linen & towels in the wardrobe. A public footpath passes through the parking area. We live here and there is another rental property on site. Please don't leave your pets alone in the room - and please pick-up after them outside! Please don't allow dogs on the furniture unless you've brought your own covers! Please sort your rubbish and RECYCLING before you depart. The bin sheds are down the alleyway and the recycling boxes are in the taller of the green sheds right next door to them. Septic Tank system = nothing other than poo, pee & paper down the loo!
