Annandale is a beautiful neighbourhood (it's really cute) and so close to the city. It’s a hidden gem of the inner west and we are located on the border of Glebe, surrounded by sweet streets, quaint houses, parklands and foreshores. We are so close to the CBD of Sydney and it’s a quick and easy trip to University of Sydney (15 minute walk), University of Technology and Notre Dame Universities and Chippendale. Annandale’s best cafes are moments away, as are plenty of dining options at Broadway, Fish Markets, The Star Casino, Darling Harbour, China Town, Barangaroo, Newtown and Glebe. Free parking on the street: If you're coming by car - there is ample free parking in nearby streets. Light Rail: our stop is Jubilee Park station, which is a 2 min walk from our house. Heading toward the city, you'll connect with: Glebe, Fish Markets, Star Casino, Pyrmont Bay, Darling Harbour, Convention, Chinatown and Central Station. Into the CBD and Town Hall – take the light rail from Jubilee Park to Pyrmont Bay and then walk across the Pyrmont Bridge to Cockle Bay, Barangaroo and into the heart of the city. It's a beautiful stroll to Town Hall, QVB and Pitt St Mall. If you don't feel like walking take a train from Town Hall to Circular Quay to access ferries, the historic Rocks area, the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge. Heading out further out of the city – a few stops along the line is Lilyfield and Leichhardt – Little Italy. By bus: the bus stops are a 1 and 7 min walk away from our house. • To the city via Glebe, Broadway and Central Station (train) and the CBD via 433 or 470 buses. 433 bus stop is at the bottom of our street. • To Balmain Villages (10 min) on the 433 bus and to Rozelle Village and outlet shopping at Birkenhead Point via Victoria Road buses. • To Coogee Beach 370 bus via Newtown (Sydney Uni and RPA Hospital) FROM THE AIRPORT: TRAIN AND LIGHT RAIL: If coming from the airport by public transport - the journey is so easy and takes 35-40 minutes and costs around $16.00 on your Opal card. You will need to buy an OPAL card from the train station at the airport. Step 1: Catch the train from either the International or Domestic airport terminal train stations to Central Station (15 minutes). Step 2: At Central Station – navigate your way from the train to the Light Rail platform, near the country station platforms (up the escalators – look for the ‘L’ sign). The Light Rail terminates here - so get on it and travel to Jubilee Park station (20 minutes). Step 2: From Jubliee Park – exit to the right and go through the Tramsheds out to the front. It's a 1-minute walk to my house. BY TAXI OR UBER: A taxi via non-toll roads and depending on the time of day is will take 35minutes and cost between $35-40 Taxi or Uber from the City is around $15-$20 (ride sharing on Uber has been around $4-10) It's a really wonderful walk from the City - around 40-60 minutes.
